Ok,,Im starting to freak out just a little bit,,:(

I have no idea what Im doing at this point. Maybe Im just having a bad day,,but I started planning for this wedding on June 1st and so far the only thing I have officially booked is the actual day of the wedding?? I have no idea where to take my guests (10-15 people) after the wedding,,I don't have a co-ordinator to ask what my options are and I keep going back and forth about what I want to do.

First I thought the California Grill would be nice but they only seat larger groups between 5-5:45 pm after that there's no garentee to sit together,,and you cannot pick a particular seat so I don't have a clue where we might all be sitting.

Then my FI suggested the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show,,but now Im having doubts about the cost,,and the fact that it's outside??

Does anyone know of any places that maybe have affordable private rooms??? Or suggestions on where to go?? I can't have the dinner inside any of the parks as not all of my guest have tickets. I don't know anyone who has been to Disney recently and I don't have a co-ordinator yet to ask so Im just starting to panic,,:( The wedding is a the end of Oct. so I have to make any PS arrangments soon (well by the end of the month,,maybe Im panicing too early) but I have not idea what to do,,

Okay first step.............don't freak out yet, there's plenty of time down the road to freak out :p

Be assured that everything will fall into place perfectly. Okay the first thing I would tell you to do now that you have your day is book your officiant if you don't have one already, they go quick so to get the one you want you need to act quick. My vote goes to Rev. Jack Day.

As for the places to eat don't worry, there are a ton of places you can go that don't require park admission and will accomidate your party size, to name a few Narcoosse's at the GF, Yachtsmen Steakhouse at the Yacht Club.......actually anywhere on the Boardwalk and there are some good places to eat out there.
We ate at the Yachtsmen Steakhouse after our wedding and they did an excellent job........we had customized menus with our name and wedding date and no prices. Be assured there are plenty of places to each for every budget.

That should get you started, please let me know if you have any questions.............and remember stay calm, it may seem like nothing is getting done but it actually is
:teeth:

Don't freak out, the wedding pros will make everything happen how you want it, they can do wonderful things.

2nd the vote for Rev. Jack Day, he is the kindest man I've met, and made our ceremony special.

Where is your location for the ceremony? That would guide the suggestions of where to go for a meal after for me, especially depending on transportations options and time of day. Every resort area has great restaurant, many will do special things for wedding groups, especially intimate brides.

So... What' the plan so far??? I can't wait to hear!

I second Doctor Tigger on Yachtsman Steakhouse. We did the same thing and it was a wonderful dinner. We had a table for 11 in the back of the restaurant, the menu was custom with no printed prices and our guests could choose whatever they wanted. The meal was fantastic. we were there for about 2 1/2 hours. We also used Rev. Jack for our ceremony and you couldn't ask for a nicer man.

Just wanted to add that Citricos has a nice, private room which will seat up to twelve people, the only requirement to use it is to spend at least $700 on dinner...somewhere around that number, anyway! It's called the Chef's Domaine.

V&A's also has a nice private room, but the minimum expenditure is a bit higher.

I'm surprised that CG will only seat large groups between 5-5:45. I really think that is :sad2: .

First of all thanks to everyone for their advice,,Im feeling a bit better now,,*smiles*.

I now have a wedding co-ordinator (Karen Sarrette),,I belive we will be taking everyone to the Aloha Dinner show the night of the wedding (just have to make reservations),,I think we have Rev. Jack Day (I received the "Jack's Pack" package and sent back the slip that came with it,,not sure if that confirms it or not but Im sure I will find out soon). We may even get STVS video to tape the wedding. So I guess Im lot farther now than I was the other day,,*smiles*.

I really like the idea of the custom menus with no prices,,I would definately like to do that at one of the restaurants if we don't go to the the Dinner show,,in the end they would cost about the same but my FI really wants to go to the show,,:) (gotta let him win a few battles,,*grins*)

Planning this wedding from so far away (Michigan/Canada) can get a bit intimidating at times,,especially when neither my FI or I have been to WDW since we were little.

I still have a few reservations about the Dinner show because it is outside and we will be going immediately over after the ceremony as the wedding is at 3:00 pm and the show starts at 5:15,,would it be wierd if I wore my wedding dress?? I really wouldn't have time to change.

Anyway,,thank you all again for your advice,,I can't say enough about how helpful this page is,,*smiles*.

Also,,does anyone know how long it usually takes to receive a finished wedding video from STVS after the wedding?? My hope is to play it at a party we will be having a couple of months after the wedding with everyone who couldn't go to the actual wedding.

Thanks again,, :wave2:

Glad things are calming down for you it can be frustrating at times planning from so far away I know :teeth:

I would talk to Stan about your video and when you'd need it by it may be you'll have to pay him extra to rush the job. I am nealy 2 months from our wedding and no video yet but we're in no particular rush except of course we are dying to see it but I think he is waiting on music choices from me so I'm holding the process up LOL

Miz-chan,

So glad to hear that things are getting better for you :)

I actually had Karen Serette as my EM, she's really nice and straight to the point.

About your STVS question, we had an at home reception a month after we returned from our wedding at DW, Stan was able to have our video ready for us, plus we had our pictures from Randy Chapman available at our reception to so people could see them.
If you tell Stan when you need it he will work really hard to meet your deadline!!! I think when all was said and done it took Stan 3 weeks to get my video done and we couldn't be happier with it.

:thewave:

Well its official I placed reservations for hosting the dinner the night of my wedding at the Spirit of Aloha Dinner show,,I just hope I don't feel too silly in my wedding dress there. We won't have time to change before the show.

We also have Rev. Jack Day officiating and are currently looking into having both Randy Chapman and STVS video at the wedding too.

Stan at STVS did say that the video could be done for the reception later so Im now starting to get excited about the wedding. *smiles*

I also wanted to thank Fantasia Sam for posting her wedding pictures earlier. They are absolutly beautiful,,I only hope my wedding day turns out as nice,,:) It was really nice to see more of the Yacht club and the Gazebo as well.

Thanks again to eveyrone for all the advice :)
