Freaking out!

I can't believe that I actually canceled my Easter trip. I was considering money, war, other things that I need to do around the house during that break.

Now, I hear daily about other people's plans for their Easter breaks. I live in the land of snow and freezing cold, and wish I hadn't canceled the trip.

It's probably too late now to get good rates and flights, wouldn't you say?

I know what you're saying. We've had snow on the ground since Christmas and more coming this weekend. Temp's in the teens.

Try to find out if you can book another trip. I figure we'll always be short of money, the house will always need something done to it and I can't stop living because of the war. So, let's focus on the good things that come our way and the wonderful memories we create along the way.

It'll make the winter go faster.

It's never too late to try. Spend some time this weekend "feeling out" reservations and plans, and keep an open mind. Pretend you are a scientist, deciding if there are good conditions for travel. If you are flexible about where you stay, a room can probably ALWAYS be had somewhere at Disney.

Last year we decided to go down for an extra night and wound up at Coronado Springs, where we had never stayed. We had a lovely night there and really loved the resort. Never would have gotten to try it otherwise!

Oh. My! The hunt begins.....that is the most fun, planning a last minute trip!

I live the same way money can always be spent on something else but my memories are priceless!!
