Freaked out by a fortune cookie!!!

Today DH and I had Chinese food for lunch. They had a little basket of fortune cookies, so DH grabbed a couple. We each opened and read our fortunes...
Mine said “You will soon cross the great waters.” DH asked what it said, and I said “Well, I think it is saying that I am going to die.” He got a very funny look on his face, and handed me his fortune. It said “You will soon inherit a large sum of money”!!!! WTH????

We laughed it off and headed for the door. Knowing I was a little freaked out about it, DH grabbed two more cookies on the way out. When we got in the car he handed me one and said “Try again”...

This time it said...
“You will soon take a pleasant journey far away”!!! Again WTH????

So, on the way back to work a car ran a red light and turned in front of me. I slammed on brakes sliding and missing them by inches!!!

DH said “Wait a minute, I’m not supposed to cross those waters with you!”

Now that would have put me over the edge. Anyways Theirs a lesson needed to be learned here.

No more reading fortune cookies and stay at least 2 feet and 2 inches away at all times.

That is strange. I always get fortune cookies that say strange things like "Baseball go far if hit by bat".

Maybe it is telling you that you need to go on a Disney Cruise.

That way you can have a pleasant journey while crossing great waters and your husband's large inheritance can pay for it all!

Well, I can't believe that I just went out in the 100+ degree heat to read a fortune cookie.... but I'm glad I did...
it proves that they are wrong...

DH's second fortune said:
"FORTUNE COOKIE SAY: YOUR SENSITIVITY IS AN ASSET"

I guess Mr. Sensitive couldn't read it to me because he was too busy laughing at me and telling me to make sure my life insurance policy was in order!
