we're heading to WDW next week (hooray!) and hoping our kids, who are 3 1/2, will enjoy a few more rides/show on this trip as compared to previous trips (when they were between 2 and 3 y.o.). i'm hoping to get a bit more info. on a few rides/shows to decide whether or not to risk taking them on them....

-muppetvision 3d...can someone tell me if something touches the seats (don't want to be a spoiler, though)? it's been a few years and i can't remember...

--tiki room show...we're bringing ear muffs to help reduce the noise intensity (my kids are pretty sensitive to loud noises), but are there any visually intense elements?

---lights, motor, action...again, if the noise is significantly decreased and we sit near the back, is it still too intense for little ones?

thanks for any comments!

Enjoy!!

My kids are TERRIFIED of the red-eyed tiki goddess in the tiki room. I'm really not sure why disney feels the need to add things like that.

This drives me crazy!! You'll have a great attraction but then there's something that's totally unnecessary and freaks your child out. Granted my DS is not an adventurous one with rides but even the ones he enjoyed there was often something that would suddenly freak him out like the little spray of water in Philarmagic.

my kids hate anything being sprayed on their faces, too! we did fantasmic when they were 2 and aren't planning on doing it again on this trip (perhaps next time when they are 4?)...

thanks for everyone's replies. sounds like the tiki room might not be something for this trip, either.

has anyone done the "lights. motors, action" show with preschoolers?

thanks,

Muppetvision is fine, but Its Tough to be a Bug and Honey I Shrank the Audience both spray and the seats have "sensations (bugs crawling/stinging and a mouse tail). My stepson had problems with both of these at age 8 and again at 10!

If you have time you might want to check out the Passporter which rates the rides for children and adults. Just thought I would mention it.

I've seen the bee sting in "ITTBAB" freak a lot of little kids out. We just kept our ds away from the back of the seat and it didn't bother him at all (almost 3 on our last trip). These shows are kind of a toss up for the little ones. My ds will never keep the 3D glasses on so I'm really not sure how much he gets out of it anyway.
