I wanted to pass this along - I was just on my University's email portal in the in the news, info and updates they had this warning. They NEVER warn us about this kind of stuff unless it's huge or affects a lot of people - so in all my time I've only seen warnings for a couple of viruses so I'm guessing this scam might be particularly bad?

And since so many here have Chase acconts - just wanted to pass along the heads up and let you know that you need to watch out for this too.

Please delete the Chase Online Bank announcement. This e-mail is
fraudulent and is phishing for personal info.

When will people learn... You should NEVER respond to an e-mail request for personal information no matter how legitimate the e-mail appears to be. You should NEVER click on a link within an e-mail asking for financial information.

If you get an e-mail that seems to be from a company that you do business with, close the e-mail and log on to your account by going to that company's web site or call their customer service department and verify if there is actually a problem.

It's unfortunate that people continue to be scammed by these fraudulent e-mails. Thanks for posting another warning about this.
