Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share a few pictures from our trip to France a couple of weeks ago. We spent a couple of days in Bordeaux and then a few more in Paris. One thing I learned on this trip is that I need to watch my horizons more carefully (or maybe one of my legs is just longer than the other :confused3 ).

I'm (very slowly) wading through the post-processing on my photos, but here are a few in the meantime:

An old mini Roman colesium built around 1100 (so I was told)

I'll try to post more pix as I get them processed. Thanks for looking!

Here's one more inside Notre Dame. The way the sunlight was lighting the cross was really a powerful sight. I don't think my picture quite captured it, but I still like the way it turned out.

Again, thanks for looking!

Wow, they are beautiful, thank you for sharing. I've always wanted to go to Paris.

nice photos!:thumbsup2
check that you don't tilt your head, i kept having uneven horizons(1 or occasionally 2 degrees tilted left)and i knew they were straight in the camera since i was being very conscious of it...unfortunately i was not as conscious of keeping my head straight. it was one of those "a ha!" but slap my forehead moments when i discovered the real cause ;)

That could be the problem (tilting my head) because I did think most of my shots were straight in the camera. I probably wouldn't have thought to check that. I guess I'll have to set up a video camera to evaluate my shooting form (like analyzing a golf swing) :rotfl2:

Thanks! Paris was very beautiful, but I actually preferred Bordeaux. I felt it was the more authentic cultural experience (aside from all the museums that Paris has to offer).

What beautiful photos. They bring back some nice memories for me. More, s'il vous plait?

LOL that might be my problem too!

Here are a few more from the Louvre (I'll keep them grouped from now on)

More from the Louvre

Due to a public transportation strike that was going on this particular day, we couldn't access about half of the museum. Here's a picture from one wing that was roped off from access (I think I'll go back in and crop this photo at the columns on the left and right to frame it a little better and remove that reflective display case at the right)

I couldn't ever get a "clean" shot of the Venus de Mylo because there were always so many people around it. This was the best of the 20 or so shots I took

Stay tuned... still more to come!
Thank you for looking!

Such nice shots...I am so envious. We were supposed to go to France but my DH needed knee replacement and had to put it off. I am in the panning stages again and your pics are making me want to go even more.

SHOW ME MORE PLEASE...

What kind of camera do you use?

Awesome! Keep 'em coming! We were in Paris in 2005- I LOVE it! Your pictures came out SO much better than mine. I love seeing them. DD plans on junior year, studying abroad in France(Grenoble and Paris) so we will be going back:)
More?????:goodvibes

Just a few more from the Louvre:

Next up will be some shots from the Musee d'Orsay.

The Musee d'Orsay is within walking distance of the Louvre (just across the Seine). We didn't spend too much time there because it was closing early due to the strike.

Thanks!

I'm going to try to post more pix later today from Cathèdral Notre Dame, Montmartre and Sacrè Coeur, and a really cool Salvador Dali museum.
