We have been going for so many years and each year we come back saying we want to try and recreate some of the amazing lobby scents we smell at the resorts, in our home. Each year we never manage to get anything to fruition, therefore, as the recent return blues are in full swing, I thought we could start by posting here in case you guys have any recipes for diffusers. We know we can buy candles and proprietary blends but would like to try a little alchemy and trial and error ourselves, so wondered if you guys had any pointers/recipes we could try. Thank you very much!

That whole thread was started based on different scents around Disney. Since Disney uses there own scent system it’s hard to say, but for example I know the scent coming out of the system walking down Main Street is supposed to be vanilla/cupcake type smell.

The resorts are a bit trickier! I think one year one lady managed to figure that the lobby of the Grand Floridian was a mixture with white tea and something else. I’d love to discover a few myself!!

I still maintain that Disney should start their very own candle line.

Thanks princess_Nikki sadly we are in the U.K. so we can’t buy many of the items that are ‘smell alike’ mentioned in the attached post, so really hoping some fellow disers may have managed to successfully blend some oils in a diffuser to create similar scents. It’s amazing how a fragrance can bring you right back to a location or event.

I don't do candles except for electric ones but I do use oils (Young Living) in my diffusers. Hope there is someone out there that has a recipe for resort scents using quality oils.
