FP+ with rider switch

We will be traveling to the world with our 2DS so will be utilizing rider switch a lot! My question is regarding optimizing the number of FP+ with rider switch.
At MK could we make FP+ for myself: SM, then rider switch; BTMR, then rider switch...
Then make the following FP+ for my DH: Splash, then rider switch; 7DMT then rider switch...
Then make 1 FP+ for the whole family, say, PP???
This would effectively give us 5 FP+.

Mods if this is circumventing rules, I applogize and feel free to delete. But it just appears to be a loophole. Thoughts are appreciated.

Yes. We did this 2 weeks ago. Make sure you bring your 2 year old up with you for the CM to see before the first group goes, or they won't give you the rider switch pass. And while it's great, rider switch means lots of waiting around and keeping the 2YO entertained while everyone else rides.

Also, keep in mind that if your 2YO is tall enough, you may not be able to do rider switch. The height requirement on 7DMT is 38 inches, which a lot of kids hit before they turn 3.

Do you know of anyone that's been turned down because the child who doesn't want to ride is technically tall enough to do so? I read the rules on the actual Disney website and it doesn't say that they physically cannot ride it literally says if they don't want to ride.

This is directly from the actual Disney website:
If Guests in your party can’t or don’t want to board an attraction, you don’t have to miss out!

If a child does not meet the height requirement or a Guest does not wish to board a particular attraction, no problem! With Rider Switch, one adult can wait with the non-rider (or riders) while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction

I haven’t personally asked anyone about it, but there have been multiple reports of it on these boards.

Unfortunately, sometimes the information on the website doesn’t always match what’s done in practice.

@HopperFan can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe this poster has a clearly disabled adult son and has been denied rider switch passes in the past. Is that true, HopperFan? (Am I thinking of the correct poster?)

Yes, that is true.

As with many things, there are lots of conflicting stories. The CMs at the ride at the time you go have the final word. It took them a couple years before they even added 7DMT to the website. The site is as consistent as CMs ....... ask three you will get three different answers.

My best advice is to always have a Plan B.

A plus for small groups ... when three of us go, it is very easy to roll extra FP+ for one or two people.

And if it is just you two and the kiddle ........ you should have no trouble rolling that 4th FP+ as individuals. We roll even with two. My other DS has managed well over 20 a day. Study up on getting the additional ones, refreshing your MDE for them to shift times and you should be able to do all you want.

Yes! I've seen a few YouTube videos on how to score extras! Hoping to utilize this as well.

Also, I originally meant 2 dear sons, not DS2! Oops. But one is a small 3 year old, and one will be 10 months!
