my family of 3 will be arriving on a sat. Meeting up with a family of 4 who will be arriving on sun and then another family arriving on tues.

Even though we are all connected, I'm guessing that I can't start making FP selections for others until their 60 days hits. Is that correct?

If so, what's the best strategy for SDMT? Get one for the 3 of us and then try for overlaps for the others a couple of days later or just wait and try to do it all at once at 57 days?

You can book for EVERYONE (who is linked to your MyDisneyExperience) on YOUR 60th day before check-in.

If you want to ride 7DMT together, start with trying to book 7DMT for the latest date that you (all) will be in MK for your trip.

Of course, you can also book this or any other attraction on days when you are NOT together, as well.

This kind of information is explained in the FP+ thread found HERE. Read post #1 and #2 for FP+ recommendations and timing advice.

If Family #2 and/or Family #3 have booked packages, you'll have to wait until their 60-day windows open. Packaged tickets do not allow FP booking before their specific 60-day window opens.

If Family #2 and/or Family #3 have separately linked tickets, then you'll be able to book FPs for them when your booking window opens because they have valid, not packaged, tickets.

I guess I don't know the answer to that.

As soon as they let you know, you'll be able to plan your FP booking strategy.

"Packaged guests" really have a disadvantage when attempting to book FPs prior to their check-in date.
