Hi,

Mother and grown up daughter trip 2 week trip coming up, staying on-site with a car - have been to WDW numerous times, so we don't really have a set plan too much - its going to be going with the flow pretty much.

My fastpass window is coming up in the next 2 weeks, I've never had to do it before. As we are staying onsite, I'm able to do book all my FPs for my entire trip on the same day aren't I? I don't have to log in everyday to get the coming days?

Also I really love characters and am probably crazy in saying this, I want to go to MK everyday to meet the different flagpole characters, so I was planning on getting to MK and in line for the characters at 11am every day (for 7 days only, to meet the rotation). Then afterwards park hop, so was planning on doing my FPs for after 1:30pm, and hopefully getting them all for a window between 1:30-4pm.

With this also I don't know if we'll hit RD at other parks prior to the flagpole meets or just sleep in, or hang out in MK every morning - or a mixture of some sort.

Or TBH does none of this matter as people still don't really get what they want with their FP selections?

Also I'm still debating whether we should use our car, or take the buses? We like to dine/drink at resorts and recently a lot of non-resorts guests are not being allowed to park at resorts? We want to be able to get drinks at Trader Sams, beignets at POFQ and dine at Geyser Point at WL but I don't want to be turned around and none of these you can make ADRs for?

Which resort are you staying? It helps to know this for your planning strategy with getting to parks and to restaurants/bars.

Yes onsite guests can book FP for the length of their tickets (up to 14days) at the 60day mark from checkin date.

Don’t feel crazy in wanting to meet characters. Everyone tours differently, and with two weeks you’ll have plenty of time to get everything accomplished so if you want to sleep in for a week, see characters and then park hop DO IT! You can always adjust your strategy while there, example: if you aren’t dealing well with afternoon crowds, then go ahead and rope drop a park before hopping to MK flagpole and then afternoon break.
Also, if you are a character fanatic, consider a subscription to Character Locator soyou are up to date on character times at EPCOT and DHS too.

Are you an AP or do you have a 14day ticket? If you have anything 7+days then you should be able to get all the headliner FP+ scheduled over the course of two weeks. Book the harder to get ones after Day 3/4 and you’ll be fine.

As far as the car is concerned, I’d probably plan to bus/take Uber when possible if you want to drink and enjoy your nights out. At least group together stops that are close, ex: hit Trader Sams via boat after MK day, then monorail back to MK entrance and take boat launch to WL for Geyser Point. Then uber back to your resort. This sounds more complicated that it is, I think those types of transport are part of the fun and you can just relax and go with the flow instead of sitting in traffic.

I think I would go to MK every morning. I don't think I'd rope drop every morning, but I definitely wouldn't want to go to a different park to ride like one thing and then leave.

If you make your fast passes for afternoon or evening, even many of the headliners are easier to get. I would try for afternoon fast passes for rides you maybe haven't done before or definitely want to do again, or more popular rides you plan on riding in the noon to 3 time frame. You can find info everywhere on rides that need fast passes or require long wait times without them. I would definitely use Disney transportation to Magic Kingdom as it is almost always quicker than your own car. And of course Disney transportation or Uber any park you plan on enjoying adult beverages as part of your plan. It looks like you will be going in June, which is not a lower crowd time, so do make fast passes!
