FP to a ride not included in EMH?

We will be at WDW the first week of Aug (just 7 weeks to go)YEAH!!! and my question is If say we went to Epcot for the EMH, when the gates open can we go directly to Soarin and get a FP (since it is not open yet) and then go to Test Track? I'm trying to remember if we did this type of thing the last time we were at WDW but I couldn't remember. We like to send one member of our party to get the FP so they can move quicker and then they just meet us at the other ride.

I believe that Soarin is part of the morning EMH but the lists have not been updated since it is a new attraction. If it is not open the FP machines will not be available. Assuming it is open this is a strategy we have used in the past. Get into Epcot at opening and grab FP then get on the stand by line. We did this for Test Track a couple of years ago and ended up riding three times. The first time through the stand by line there was a malfunction, although we had a good ride. The CM asked if we wanted to remain on and we all said yes. After ride two we exited and got right back on with our FP.

I still do not know the answer to the question. If a ride is not open but the park is due to EMH are the fast pass machines working?

Soarin' was open for morning EMH on Monday, June 6th. My advice would be to do Test Track first as it tends to develop lines more quickly and is prone to breaking down. It broke down both days we were in EPCOT. I would still do what you said. Send someone to get FASTPASS for Soarin' and have them meet up with you at Test Track. By that time you will have probably rode it once and be ready for a second ride and they can ride it with you the second time.
