I need the offical word on Fast Pass.
I have heard conflicting stories about whether you can use them once the time frame on the FP has passed. I have one reputable source (Though it is not someone that actually works at Disney - at least not directly.) that says that it is Disney company policy to accept a Fast Pass even after the window has passed so long as the hour on the ticket has opened up. (IE if the ticket says 1:00 - 2:00 then you can go anytime after 1:00 for the rest of that day).

On the other hand I have seen some speculation that this may not be the case, seeing as how a large part of my plan of attack depends upon being able to use FP when I choose... I need to know who's right.

I've had a 1PM FP and used it at 5:30 PM. I have never been turned away due to missing the stated time on a FP, unless I was early....

Several times last week, we used fastpasses long after their time had expired. In fact, it was part of our strategy upon leaving mid-day for naptime.

We'd get a FastPass for a ride on our way out, then use the FP anytime during the evening when we returned. CM's didnt even look twice at them.

If the attraction's FP line is "backed up" due to popularity and high attendance at a certain time (really only EE, Soarin', Test Track, or maybe RnR, ToT, Space Mtn.), the CM might not allow the "late" FP at that time, but it might even be OK later that day, if the line gets shorter.

I have never been refused using a "late" FP in dozens of attempts, but I have read about a few on the specific rides I mentioned on very busy days.
