If you want to do both for sure which one do you rush to for standby and which one to get Fast Pass for?

With one FP day at Epcot, we would FP neither, choosing Frozen instead. That said, if Frozen were under refurbishment or something, i would be inclined to FP Test Track and try to catch Soarin standby. If not watching Illuminations, getting in line at Soarin or Test Track either one at 8:55 is a good approach. The only concern with me about a Test Track FP is a weather closure could mess up the plans for the entire day.

There is a 6:10 Soarin FP right now - No TT. I have usually found it easier to get a same day FP for Soarin than TT. I always FP for TT.

I'd also would go with TT. I think the addition of a theater has helped ease the sitch with Soarin' just a bit.:)

I'd do FastPass for Test Track and Rope Drop to Soarin'. If you don't make Rope Drop, you can still usually find manageable waits for Soarin'. Test Track often has longer waits even than Frozen Ever After right now. Of course, like others have said, if you're okay with Single Rider, than I would FP Soarin'.

i would FP TT since it goes down so often Soarin has 3 theater and if one goes down there are still 2 more

We FP TT because 1) we don't want to do single rider and 2) it seems to break down so often that we'd rather have a guarantee to ride it later, if it is broken down during the time we're trying to ride.

I am inclined to do this as well. If you rope drop Test Track and it is down, you can't be sure to ride it later. If you have a FP for it, you can ride it anytime later- assuming it's running later.

Exactly! We've spent too many rope drops waiting in line at TT waiting for it to open--it is often delayed (at least when we are there) so we've given up on that route.

Frankly, if you're going to be there at rope drop, it's 50/50. Either would work. Rush to one and FP+ the other. But if I had to pick, I'd FP+ Soarin' because I'd hit TT at park open, then go do FEA standby.

Another it depends vote. You didn't mention FEA. If you want to do that, i would do my FP there. If not, we RD Soarin, then do LWTL and a FP for TT. i have read suggestions to RD Test Track, then standby Soarin.
Our plan has been RD Soarin, then LWTL, Living Seas, then FP Spaceship Earth and FP Test Track.

Am I missing something? I thought I have been seeing FP aren't as necessary for FEA and its possible to get it as a 4th FP. Maybe I'm wrong and need to do some more research.

So, we learned this last week during our trip, always FP Test Track, at rope drop FEA and Soarin' are walk ons for the first hour or so (longer if EMH), Test Track pretty much slams to a long wait within minutes. Just this Saturday we did a half day at Epcot, showed up at RD with a TT FP, rode that once (that was the only chance we had), rode Soarin' three times and FEA five times that day. Left at 4 for the airport, also rode SSE, Figment, LWTL, and Nemo. Could have ridden Mission: Space but my party wasn't up for it. Test Track was the only one remotely problematic.

July 4th week we rode Frozen first, 8am opening, probably there at 8:15am and then went and rode Soarin, minimal wait for both, no FP's.

I would FP test track and use the app to check on soarin wait times. It also depends on what day of the week you might be visiting too. A week day will have slightly shorter wait times. We visited Epcot on a Saturday and a Wednesday -- we wanted to ride the Land standby and on the Saturday there were 40 minute wait times, but Wed was 15-20 minute waits. Same with soarin -- we watched wait times on Wednesday and in the afternoon spotted 25 minute waits, so we scooted on over to ride. Soarin lines, with the additional theater, move a bit quicker now.
