FP+ reservations

Is there any thread that gives instructions for making FP+ selections at MDE? I can now make ours even though I have no customization link for the bands yet but I am at a complete loss in there. I can't seem to figure out anything. Do we have to make 3 selections for each park? It keeps giving me three and I can't seem to find a way to cancel the other two. Also how do you make a selection for only a few party members for a particular attraction but then add different guests to another attraction in the same park? If I choose all members for each attraction with a FP+ and some choose not to ride will the remaining guests still be allowed or is the number of riders on the selection locked in stone? I apologize for my DUH moments here but I'm so I'm getting a headache.
