A couple of questions before we leave.........

1.Can I hold FP's for both DL and CA at the same time? (are they connected in other words?) Reading strategies about one person going to CA and getting FPs for everyone in our group.

2.I know that once the return time for a fastpass has started
you can get another, but I read in a guidebook that you can
get FPs every 2 hours....can someone verify that? A new rule perhaps?
I thought you had to wait until your FP time has come and then you could get another.

Many thanks!!!

1. Yes you can. DL and DCA are not connected. And remember, in DCA, Grizzly is not connected. So you can have a FP for it and for another ride at the same time. As long as everyone has entered either DL or DCA and activated their tickets for the day.

2. For example.....you get a space mtn. fastpass at 10:30 in the morning. It is a busy day, and the FP return time says 4:30. You may get another FP at 12:30, 2 hours after the 1st FP was issued, EVEN IF the return time is much later. You can get a new FP after the first return time is up OR two hours later, whichever comes first.

Have I helped or confused you more???:rotfl:

I thought with it being the year of dreams there where no fast passes unless you were a lucky visitor and got selected for that dream.

If you haven't read (printed) Hydroguy's "How to use FastPass during the busy (crowded Season"...or something like that, you must. It's essential reading.

To answer your question, I agree with BasketballMom, once ALL people in your group have entered EITHER park, you can send a runner to the OTHER park for FP collection. So yes, you can hold FP from each park. Also as BBMom said, Griz Rapids in DCA (& Roger Rabit in DL) are disconnected so you can pick those FP's minutes after picking up another FP.

Also the 2 hour window is worst case. If you pick up a FP early the "window" could be as little as 45 min. My "strategy is to have at least 4 DL FP's in my pocket (& possibly 2 from DCA) prior to leaving the park for our afternoon break. (so we have them for the evening).

I'll try to find the above mentioned thread and link.

BambiGirl (and anyone else who wants to work FP effectively), I just bumped a thread called:

"Help for a Firstimer"..... that has the HydroGuy links.

Have Fun. :thumbsup2

Thanks guys! :thumbsup2
Just had to know......its been 12 years  since I last went, well before DCA and fastpass.
Also, thanks for the tip about GRR & RR being disconected..great tips!

Cool...print off the links in HydroGuy's post (in the thread i just linked) & you'll have all the info you'll need for FP.

Oh no. FP is still there and at WDW. There are things called "Dream Fastpasses" which are badges with little tabs on the side that are given out randomly. Each tab has the name of a FP attraction and if you win these Dream FPs, you can pull off the tab for each FP attraction and enter the FP return line once per attraction. But anyone, regardless of winning a dream or not, can still use the normal FP system.

the Dream Fastpass consist of all the rides... you used to be able to purchase this via AAA but now you cant.

Dont forget that Roger Rabbit FP is also disconnected. BUT, that ride rarely gets much people... i dont see a point for a FP at all.
