My husband is suffering a nasty gout attack, that still may leave him limping or with crutches by the time of our trip unfortunately :crutches: This has probably been answered millions of time but I was wondering for example with the RSR FP, can I park hop by myself from DL Park with all our tickets and get FP's sorted without everyone entering California Adventure?

If you have both entered one of the parks, yes, you can take both to the other and get fastpasses.

Off topic, but have you considered renting your husband a wheelchair for the trip? DL with crutches sounds like pure hell. Just getting from point A to point B on crutches can be tough and painful after a while, never mind trying to hobble around the 80-something hectares that the two parks combined are. Not to mention the difficulty navigating crowds, I would worry that someone might catch their foot or stroller wheel on his crutches and send him tumbling down, especially in the mad rush out after the fireworks.

A wheelchair might allow you to move faster throughout the parks and do more in the amount of time you have.

Thanks for the thought - I am hoping it wont come to this or even needing crutches. He is quite stubborn and tries to manage himself without any aid but I know this trip requires a lot of walking. I just hope it will all resolve over the next 3 weeks!! It is good to keep in mind though.

Ugh. I have been there. The gout flare ups are definitely not fun and I had a flare up several years ago at DLR during a big family reunion trip. I tried to walk through it but I slowed everyone down and in the end I just kind of did my own thing and everyone else did theirs. I vowed that if I ever had a flare up at DLR again I would rent one of those scooters. Walking/limping through DLR with a gout flare up is not fun for anyone (not fun for the one with gout but also not fun for everyone else in the family). My recommendation would be if your husband is still suffering, rent a scooter. In the end both you, your husband, and your family will not regret it.

Yep, I can see how it wont be fun if he isn't better. Scooter does sound like a good alternative, but gee this trip has been in the planning for many years, ironic how these things happen at the wrongest of times - we still have 3 weeks and he's been down with it for about 2, but he is mostly better than he was when it first started so we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, lets hope we make it through before this trip!

Just for info can you rent the scooters direct from DL?

Hope your husband feels better soon! Every flare up is different but three weeks is a lot of time (in my experience, especially since he's starting to feel better). Lots of water and lots of water. I haven't rented one yet, but in other posts on this forum it seems as though renting through DL is expensive relative to other places (nearly 2x the cost). I read some recommendations for Deckert's and Apple Scooter. It sounds like they deliver it to your hotel (but a recent post indicated that Deckert's didn't deliver to a specific hotel someone was staying at).

The other problem with renting strollers or scooters directly from Disney is that you can't take them to your offsite hotel.

If he needs one for in the parks, rent one from an off-site vendor.
Using an off-site vendor is generally less expensive, less hassle and it allows the scooter to be used to and from the parks.
The main ones around DLR deliver and pick up as part of their service.
Google Anaheim Scooter Rentals, this will provide you several options to check out.
