FP question for AK

We have breakfast ADR at Tusker House for 8:00. Our plan is to get FP for Safari, ride Safari standby and head to EE to get FP. Will we be able to get a FP for EE at this time or will our first FP knock us out timewise?

The safari is a good 30-minutes if you figure in time walking through the long queue, loading, and exiting. If you get your fp right at 9:00 (assuming a non-emh morning), it will be 9:30+ when you get done with safari, and your next fp opportunity should be 9:40. So, yeah, by the time you walk over to EE it should be about right.

Best strategy:
1. Get first fastpass.
2. Eat breakfast
3. Get second fastpass
4. Use first fastpass.

Your timing, your ADR, and walking distances might make this impractical.

Generally, the sooner you get your first fastpass, the sooner you can get your second, etc.

Isn't Tusker House a counter service restaurant? Can you get ADRs there?

Can you get a fastpass prior to an ADR before park opening? i.e. 8:10 Tusker ADR with 9am park opening...I assumed you couldn't get the first fastpass until 9am??

The fastpass machines do not open until official park opening.

If you have not fininshed breakfast by 9:00 you can send one person out with all the park passes to get fastpasses for one attraction.

Normally there is a time restriction on fastpasses and until that time restriction is reached you cannon get another fastpass. This restriction usually is the lesser of the earliest return time or two hours. Itf it is earlier than the return time, the "another fp time" will be indicated on the fp.

They essentially "killed" about the best CS restaurant on-property by moving the character breakfast (and others) to Tusker House.

We like the Donald breakfast, but, we'll surely miss those great Tusker CS meals.

In this same vein, be aware of what is going on in front of you while waiting for fastpasses. On our recent trip a "short line" to get fastpasses wasn't usually that short. Tour groups send one person to get FPs for EVERYONE in their group (look for ppl carrying little penant type flags). There were two of us, we would get in lines next to each other and we would pass our KTTW card to whoever made it to the machine first.

There was a time at WDW that MANY of the restaurants featured that wonderful open-flame spit-roasted whole chicken.

BTW, it looks like Tusker House still has Rotisserie Chicken on the menu.
