FP+ question...computer vs app?

I'm prepping for doing FP+ in couple of weeks and I know what I want, now I have to figure out how best to get it! Our trip is m-th so I'm already worried about being shut out of rides/times that I am hoping for since all those weekend arrivals will get first dibs. We are onsite so will have the 60 day window in our favor.

So now I'm wondering, is there better luck using my computer or using the app on my phone? Or does it really not matter?

I always use my computer. I just seem to work faster on it. I'm not sure if one is more reliable than the other, I just go with what I am more comfortable with.

It won't matter as far as what rides you get. The only thing that matters is how fast your connections are. If you're cell phone service is slow, then use a PC. If your phone is good, go with that.

Thanks! Both are equally fast, I've just never done this before so I am gearing up

I find the computer easier. I too have been practicing with the app since they have changed it since the last time. I think its a little easier to navigate on the computer.

I just made our fastpasses this morning for our summer trip. I find using the computer much easier to navigate, but I do double check on the app when I'm finished that everything is showing up correctly.

just start with the rides you most want and grab those first. Then you can go back and fill in the gaps. The only ride we had trouble finding availability for was Frozen, but we still managed to grab a 2PM on the day we wanted - there weren't many options left.

I like using the app but in my opinion the computer is better. I like it for making dining ADR because it gives you a list of all the restaurants whether times are available or not. When trying to book a meal for Be Our Guest on the app and trying to put in a dinner time that I want, BOG doesn't even show up. But on the website the whole list shows up and I can put the time I want in and even if the time isn't available, I can keep the window open and keep pressing "Search Times". You can't do that on the app as far I know.

I just started getting FastPasses yesterday. First, I did it on my PC when I was at work, later from home using the app. The ones that I booked from computer all showed up correctly in the app.
So, I think they are both the same...computer might be a quicker option like others said.

So, if it says for certain attractions/rides that no more FP are available, but that stand-by option is available - what does that mean?

It means no more FPs are available for that attraction, but you can wait in the normal (standby) line for it.

Thanks all. Will go with my computer, with my phone ready to go if I have any problems (my computer goes wonky sometimes).

A couple more weeks and I should know!
