Just looked at MDE and saw that besides the tickets for the 7 people in our party that need them, two of them have a FP Planning Key Card that expires the first day of our trip.
Now I THINK I know what this is and why - but curious if this makes sense.
Stay with me, this can be a bit of a bumpy ride if other threads I've posted are any indication.
We have 7 ticket holders.
Five of us have a five day hopper.
Two have four days left on a non-expiring hopper and a 1 day non-MK ticket.
When we hit the 60 day window, I did not notice this FP Planning Key Card. However, my son was doing the FP procurement.
We ran into a snag when we tried to get FPs for MK for everyone. The system would NOT allow it for the two that had the 0ne-day non-MK ticket.
Apparently the system got confused and for whatever reason didn't see or apply the 4 remaining hopper days. I can see that - how would it know how to apply the two different ticket types?
So I called, and after a <10 minute wait, the CM saw the issue but had to escalate. After about another 10 - 15 minutes, we were OK. (He stayed on the line to be sure - he was GREAT!)
Of course, we missed out on some of our choices but overall we did OK. No complaints.
But I wondered what they did? Just today I speculated that maybe they turned the 1 day non-MK to a one day ANY park. So I checked. Still the same - but that's when I noticed the two FP Planning Key Cards.
Coincidently(?) for the two with the 1 day non-MK ticket?
Or does this signify something else? That only those two people can make any FP changes?
Why does it expire the day the trip starts?
