FP or standby for Fantasmic

I'm sure variations of this question have been answered. I just feel like I need some guidance - I did not have a great seat for Fantasmic during my December trip (mainly because I cut it close due to JBJB and was lucky just to get in).

For our March 4 day at HS, wondering if it would be better to try to get a FP for Fantasmic (show at 7) or just go for standby. It's my understanding that FP guests have a choice of a wider range of seats? (Thanks to Robo for the lovely map).

My touring plan suggests that we could make it to Fantasmic by 6:15, or we can shoot for a SDFP. Thanks for the help, as always!

You can likely get Fantasmic as an extra FP right before the show. Show up 45+ min prior to showtime and either sit in the FP section or another section if you'd like.

I wouldn't book Fantasmic as one of my first 3 fps

I've already got my other three FP set. Your answer was what I suspected - especially the confirmation that we could sit in either the FP or standby section. Thank you very much!

Have you thought of doing an ADR for one of the restaurants that has the pass? We always do that and as I have commented before you have to eat somewhere.

I thought about it! My bf is excited for the atmosphere of Sci-Fi (and he’s not particularly excited about much of the trip). So I’m hesitant to change to a dining package somewhere else.

I would go with Sci-Fi over the Fantasmic dining restaurants

Well I do have to admit that Sci-Fi is my favorite place in HS as well but I scheduled a lunch at Mama Melrose for the seating.
