#1.....duh! And it looks like a clear winner at this point.

Dang it...I picked the wrong one. I picked two because I thought you guys would get all FP's before I got to the park. I can't do math under pressure... It was a knee jerk reaction :worried:

The fallacy of your approach is the idea that people who lounge around the pool and arrive in the park at 2:00 currently have unfettered ability to make changes. You are trying to protect a "benefit" that doesn't really exist, especially at crowded times. No one wants to put their fun on hold waiting for you to finish your Pina Colada by the pool.

No one is putting anyone's fun on hold. You will get 3 FPs just like I will. But instead of using mine at 12, 1, and 2pm, I realize it's a perfect pool day and I change them to 6, 7, and 8pm.

If by noon you take your 4th, 5th, and 6th FPs and you make them for evening, then my flexibility is screwed because you wanted more.

So I stand by my original selection of #4. Is rather have a lower number of guaranteed FPs and be able to move them around if necessary than to have more FP and no flexibility.

Yep. And I have no problem with that. And ya wanna know what else? If I go to the park in the morning and go to your pool at 4:00 and all the the towels and "noodles" are signed out and I don't get any, good for you and bad on me. I don't expect the pool house to save me a towel. You shouldn't expect me to hold off on my fourth FP waiting for guests who may never arrive. And the poll results suggest that this isn't a unique perspective.

Yes.

Most guests clearly want more than 3 FPs. Disney wouldn't be surveying people about options if that was not the case. It appears that in some form, we'll be able to get more. That's a good thing.

Not a great example, as pool access is rarely limited to a finite number.

Regardless, I'm thrilled you disagree. Unfortunately, this thread was a poll asking my opinion. And when someone commented they couldn't understand why anyone would choose option 4, I explained why.

You were free to justify your response, but it shouldn't have anything to do with mine. That's what makes them OPINIONS.

On a related note, in the last year of FP+ discussions on the Disboards, I've noticed something that reminds me of the Armenian Genocide. (Stay with me here, folks...)
For the last 90+ years, whenever historians make public speeches about the genocide, paid deniers are always placed in the crowd to disrupt the speech and argue down the historian. Always.
Check out the pro FP+ threads and see how many responses it takes before someone tries to argue them down.

Again, not relating FP to genocide, just the pattern of well-placed deniers and their relentless interruption of a topic.

Huh, no kidding? They got noodles you can sign out at the resort pools?! :woohoo: Now, I definitely don't need more than 3 FP's a day! :)

I am optimistic that this at least means they are looking into making changes to the system. I think that FP+ is certainly capable of being everything that FP was, and more, they just need to work out the kinks, and make some adjustments to it. I DO believe that they rolled it out fully before they were really ready to, and that has lead to some problems, but I have faith in their ability to get it all under control, and working in a manner that the vast majority of us will be happy with.

lol, if I'm supposed to be a paid denier, I got in the wrong line.
