I have read some of the posts about this and I'm still confused. I'm staying off-site at a conference in June and plan to go to Animal Kingdom for a day, but won't get there until 1PM. I've been there before so I figured I can do all the stuff I want in the 6 hours I will have (helps to be a party of 1).

However, I would LOVE to be able to make my FastPass+ reservations BEFORE I get there. Is that something that will be happening by then? Or will I have to just do them at the kiosk when I get there?

Thanks!!

Honestly, there is no way to know what will be happening in June.

All we can say is what's happening right now...and right now you can't make FP+ ahead of time if you are not staying onsite (unless you have previously stayed onsite using FP+ and been activated in the system that way, AND have valid park admission linked to your MDX account), you'll need to do it day-of at the kiosks in the park.

Is there a way to link park tickets to MDE (when staying offsite) and the do your fp+ reservation the same day of your park visit on your own smart phone, iPad etc? Or is the only option using the in park kiosks?

As of right now offsite guests can only make FP+s at the parks, unless you are a AP holder with a prior onsite stay.

Not if you've never stayed onsite with MDX before. You must have had a previous onsite stay to "break into" the system.

There are people getting email invitations to pre-book, and I haven't seen that a prior on-site stay is a prerequisite. It appears that they only have to have plastic tickets registered into the MDE system and ADRs that are linked there too.

I haven't heard about that happening to anybody except annual passholders. Why it would be required to have an ADR is way beyond me.

This is another test. Not everyone is included. You don't need ADRs to get it.

See post #18 of that thread:
Since I had to have dining reservations and tickets linked before I could make selections, I would think the date those two things are done would drive the FP+ window for offsite, up to 60 days advance.

and post #37:
I'm pretty sure my FP + was tied in to dining. This is the email I got:

Since you took the time to plan a dining experience at a Walt Disney World Theme Park in advance, we’d like to invite you to test Disney FastPass+ service so you can reserve access to select Theme Park experiences in advance as well! You can do this by helping us test our Disney FastPass+ service* while you’re here!

With Disney FastPass+ service you can lock-in some of your must do fun before you arrive. That means you can enjoy less time waiting in line and more time having fun. Best yet it's included with Theme Park admission.
