FP+, no more kiosks?

There was a rumor a short while back that if you were staying on property and using the MyDisneyExperience app to book FP+ reservations, they were eliminating the need to use a FP+ kiosk to book additional reservations once the first three had been used. Instead you would use your 3 FP+ reservations and then book additional reservations one at a time through the app. No more searching for a kiosk. Does anyone know if this has been implemented, and if it hasn't been, when we might see this? Hoping this is true before our September trip.

And just to clarify, kiosks will still be in the parks for guests who don't own smartphones and for guests who haven't pre-booked FPs.
