First visit using FP+ We were pretty good with old system and never waited more than 15 minutes. We are in the WDW Parks Dec 31st thru the 6th. So big crowds. Do we make selections for all days even if we plan to skip a day in case we change our minds? If only half our party wants to go to park can they use the bands of those who don't go to park for FP+ rides or would they need to scan them at entrance to activate them for the rides? I wouldn't want to waste entrance fees by mistake. We have 10 day non expiring tickets and new 6 day passes. Any ways to use these to our advantage? Thanks for the help.

1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. No.
4. Nothing in particular.

Much more information is explained in the FP+ thread found HERE. Read post #1 and #2 for FP+ usage, recommendations, and timing advice

Thanks for the response. More questions
  1. I have my non-expiring tickets in my Disney Experience account with corresponding magic bands from last trip. My wife ordered new bands and bought tickets using her Disney Experience account. Can we make FP+ selections on both sets of bands and tickets?
  2. If we could and I don't see why not, would we be able to use the two sets of bands in the parks on the same day even though we have the same set of names on both sets?
  3. If the bands were activated with the non expiring and new tickets on different bands would you have to use up a day when you used them in the park?
  4. If not it seems you could have twice as many FP+ per day or as we want to do use them for Park Hopping.

1. You are limited to making 3 advanced FP+ reservations per guest, per day. Regardless of the number of tickets
that you have in your MDE account.

2. No.
3. That's not how MBs and an MDE account works.***
4. Nope. You are limited to making 3 advanced FP+ reservations per guest, per day.

The only way to skirt this is to set up a new MDE account with different names and
attach different tickets to that account.

Just to keep things as clear as possible-

There is no reservation info, or ticket info, or credit card info,
or FP+ info "put onto" a MagicBand.

A MagicBand just contains (and weakly "transmits") a unique serial number that is used to access the information that is stored in your MyDisneyExperience computer file.

So, even if you were to lose a MagicBand, the info stays locked in your file.

Disney can also issue ADDITIONAL MB's to a guest and each
additional band can be used for the same purposes as the first band.

So, yes, there can be multiple MB's per person, and each of them can be used by that person,
but their entitlements will all be common and identical.

The MagicBand works like the combination to a locked safe, or a key to a locked door.
The MB, itself, is not the file of info or the container of the info.
The MB just unlocks the file of info, allowing it to be accessed from your MDE account when needed.
