FP Line Wait Times

We just got back from a week in WDW and crowds were heavier than expected. I paid attention to how long we waiting in the FP lines and it was 10-20 minutes on average. The only time it was less was if we were going on a ride that had a short line already and it was a wasted fast pass because that is all we could get.

I'm was paying attention because I wanted to see if a DAS would benefit my brother when we take him, and I think it would. And I'm posting this to help other Disers who need to prepare family members for some waits even with the DAS. Hope this helps someone be prepared so they can have a magical trip!

I just got back too and I found that the FP lines were about the same as what you said I have found that if a rides goes down for any linty of time then the FP dose tend to back up quiet a bit at first but then goes down so often waiting another 15 to 20 more minutes helps with this

We saw many FP lines at 10-15 minutes. TSMM was at 30-45 minutes for the FP return line (according to the CM), so we had to skip that DAS return time as my son could not handle that kind of line. It really depends on the ride and the crowd level.

i was there Thursday night and TSMM FP line was so long I think the ride had broken down for a bit earlier that day and then when I was in line it broke down again I was out side and had plenty of room around me and not a lot of extra stimulation so that help and then when it started to move it really did move I think it was only 15 minutes but I stood out side for about 15 before the line moved at all I did find a quiet place for about 30 ish minutes after that ride to get my self some time

Were you using a crowd calendar and visiting recommended parks? I think I was there the 15th through the 20th and we either walked on or waited 5 minutes for almost all FP+. Even on SDMT, we practically walked on with the FP and the SB line was over an hour. I'm pretty sure we never waited 10 minutes with FP. We never visited parks that were "not recommended" that day by easywdw. I've strayed in the past and it definitely made a difference.

We did go on recommended days; that's actually our #1 factor in determining what park we visit on each day.

As another poster mentioned, TSMM at HS might have been broken for a while (something that happens often) and the FP line was at 30-45 minutes. That was on an low crowd/GO day for HS (for comparison, Rock N Rollercoaster was posted at a 10 minutes standby during that same time period). We encountered longer FP waits for the rides that have slower turn overs (Jungle Cruise, Astro Orbitor, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Kil Safari, Turtle Talk with Crush, Soarin, etc.)

I agree that for many/most of the rides, the FP line was quick and manageable for most rides on low crowd/recommended park days (especially the coasters and anything else that has a moving ride that doesn't stop). But I do think it is important for people using the DAS to have realistic expectations and be prepared that for some rides there WILL be some line waiting involved. They should be prepared for that.
