FP+ kiosks?

Are there still FP+ kiosks in the parks? I don't have a cell phone and although DH does, he won't put up with what he refers to as "that Disney crap." (honestly, his phone is a $35 android from BJ's- I don't know if he could get the app for it even if he knew how. Yes we are old and uninformed in the aspects of phones).

We are going to Disney ONE DAY (Christmas Eve, start in AK and hop to Epcot). I'm hoping to get FoP, Safari, and FotLK for my 3 AK FP. Once those are done, is there a kiosk in AK where I can find out about FP availability in Epcot? I think we are only really interested in Soarin', maybe SE. Also... do you think a FP for FotLK is really necessary, or should I make an early morning FP for almost anything and let that burn, so we can get options at Epcot sooner?

This will be my 30th (?) trip to Disney and I hate the new FP+ system; it makes me want to cry. It's so confusing, so based on having a cell phone, so biased against guests who aren't "in the know." I miss the old, simple days at Disney.

I don't recall seeing them as we use our cellphone, and honestly its easier.
The WDW site says there is one by Dawa Bar, Island Mercantile, and by Mandala gifts.

Yes there are still FP kiosks. If you decide that you only want the 2 FP's at AK then you don't have to bother burning a 3rd FP there. Instead you could add an Epcot FP after having used your first AK FP.

ETA; see Hiro's explanation below regarding using the kiosks...I'd recommend using the app if at all possible.

I remember seeing a whole line of them directly opposite Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor - that main walkway down into Tomorrowland where you see the astro orbiter way down at the end ahead of you...I don't recall seeing them in the other parks but I've heard they are still there

There is WiFi in the parks now. It's spotty but it's there. If you don't want a smart phone, maybe look into buying an iPod touch? Those are extremely ambitious plans you have at a very busy time of year, and the app will make your life much easier.

The kiosk will not allow for refreshing either - so you will get whatever is available right that moment. But they are around -

AK locations are:
  • Discovery Island: Near the Island Mercantile store
  • Asia: Near the entrance to Kali River Rapids
  • Africa: Near Dawa Bar and Tusker House restaurant
Epcot was (might be relocated due to the construction):
  • Future World West: In the breezeway across from Epcot Character Spot
  • Future World East: In the breezeway on the way toward Mission: Space
  • World Showcase: At the International Gateway
You will only be able to get FP for the park you are currently in using the kiosks. APP will allow you to book in another park.

We had surprisingly good luck and good options using the kiosks last year, but the earlier you use your first three, the more availability you will find.

I understand the struggles that can come from learning new tech, but I don't miss the simple days of having to wait in line for hours. I like getting those extra fastpasses and never waiting in line.

You don't have to use a phone for MDE, you can also use a tablet. There is free wifi in the parks.

There are lots of youtube videos you can watch to help you learn to use it.
