FP help if no tix until night before

Hello! I am taking my family (husband, two young daughters ages 3 and 7) to WDW in June. My parents will be coming and my brother will be joining us as well. My brother is stationed in Germany at an Air Force base. He has not been able to locate tickets on base there and will need to purchase them at SOG in order to get the discount. We are thrilled that he can do this for us, but a bit bummed that we will not be able to get any FP until the night before we go. I've already done my ADRs, but wanted to know if there will be any FP available for us to even attempt to get the night before. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? My kids have never been, so if we have to miss a few attractions, we will most likely be OK. I just would like the chance to do a few headliners without a giant wait.
