FP+ has me totally confused.

We are planning a trip Sept. 26-Oct.4. We have been several times but this will be our first time with the new system. I checked the Easy WDW calendar and tried to plan our days however when I went to try and make adr's that was a disaster nothing aval. on the days we were in the park. But really that is no big deal. The problem comes with making the fast pass selections. My 60 day mark was last week and on that day when I tried to plan fp+ it was like nothing I wanted was avail. So I have a few questions.

1-does the parades and fireworks not come avail to chose from this early. All mind say unavailable.
2- Do I need to make fast pass selections for the park I will be at in the afternoon? We usually do one in the morning, take a break and another park that night.
3-does the FP+ selections mean that the calenders are totally wrong now.
4-If I do not have fast pass for a ride are the lines very long for like the non header attractions such as pirates buzz dumbo or small world.
5 I would like to go to one of the Halloween parties but don't know which to chose the Fri-Sun-Tues or Thurs. one.
Any info to help make me making plans easier would be appreciated.
I also noticed no Anna or Elsa FP avail. anytime will these come avail at times when we are there.

1. That's been the case.
2. That's one way to do it. There are other methods that call for morning FP+.
After guests have used all 3 of their initial FP+ for the day, they can make additional FP+, day-of,
at any park they may choose.
3. I'm not sure what you are asking. Which "calendars."
4. Depends on a lot of factors, but there appears to be that kind of effect with FP+ implemented.
5. Weeknights are generally less crowded than weekend nights.
6. They book nearly completely almost instantly.

One of the issues you are likely running into at Magic Kingdom is the parties. With several parties per week, that means there are several days per week when MK closes early (and that means far fewer FP+ reservations for everyone to share than during non-party times per year).

Try searching for single slots for FP+ reservations and see if you can find ones that overlap times for your group. It will likely be the only way you will find the hard-to-get reservations (A&E, 7 Dwarfs Mine Train).

One more question can you book ADR's at parks during extra magic hour evenings

You can, but only for those Table Service restaurants that will be open during that PM EMH.

Since PM EMH now runs for only 2 hours, and since EMH is mostly about riding attractions,
you may not find many TS restaurants open during PM EMH.

* We are going 9/21 - 9/28 and I was able to book the parades at my 60 day mark so I would say they are currently booked up. But keep checking because more could come open.

* I did that on a few days, my first night since we are going to Universal before WDW so we are starting at Epcot that night and then on our last night because that was the only time I could get A&E passes so I made all of them for that afternoon.

*No, I don't think totally since you have to think that FD is causing the hotels to be booked up but you still might not have as many offsite guests as normal that time of year. Also, from what many have said they will open up more the day of, or at the 30 day mark. Just keep checking for what you want

*I am hoping for this too and we are planning to still do rope drop and then afternoon breaks like normal. I hope it works for us.

*We are doing 2 a Tuesday and a Friday night one. Thought what the heck, we had some free tickets for one of the parties.

*Again just keep checking, and watch the boards since I have seen several posts of times coming open. Same with your ADR times, just keep checking espeically at the 45 day mark since many might cancel.
