Do I need a FP+ for the 3:15 Indiana Jones show or can I just do standby line?

Standby should be fine.
When I originally looked at Fastpasses there were none showing, only the later show was available. I was able to get the 2:45 show a few weeks later. I was hoping to be able to skip it though and make a FP for Magic Kingdom later that night.

With tiers and recent closure anticipation of the GMR in August I'm using a FP for Indy because there's just nothing else to use it for so I can pull a 4th FP hopefully in the afternoon

As a general rule, don't use FPs for shows -- especially old shows like Indy. You can usually show up just before show time and get a good seat. Use FPs for rides.

When I went last winter, we did HS two days (It's my favorite park even with the closures, don't judge me.) The first day we did Indy on standby and had mediocre seats at best. My friends who'd never seen it enjoyed it so much that they insisted we get FP+ for it the next visit, and our seats were amazing and I even got to be an "extra" in the show. If there's truly nothing else you want to use your FP on, go for it, otherwise, standby should be fine.

We found it to be a valuable FP on our Oct trip last year. The line for Indy was backed out of the queue area and it was HOT out. We were able to waltz in with our FP and not wait in the line.

I set up a FP for Beauty and the Beast, but only because it was at the top of my daughter's must-do list and I wanted to be 110% sure she got to see it. Otherwise, IMHO, fast passes for shows are a waste.

The times that i've been to the Indiana Jones show have been on Standby and there is always room. I would get there a little earlier if you want to pick your seats.

Maybe show FPs would be valued a little bit more if they actually gave you better seating. But as it is, not only does it not save you time, it also doesn't get you a better seat.

FP for Indy is pretty worthless. It's so worthless, I can't remember the last time anyone ever asked about it.
With a total of 5 rides in HS (4 soon enough with closure of Movie Ride), two of which you cannot hold a FP+ for simultaneously, and with plenty of folks who avoid Tower of Terror and/or Rockin' Coaster, there are going to be more and more questions about FP+ for Shows until Toy Story Land opens next year.

The FP sticky lists orders of priority for FP picking. If nothing above a show (Indy in OPs case) works for you, for one reason or another, might as well pick the FP for a show.

Even if there is only a small benefit, it will almost never be a detriment. The exception might be Disney Jr show, where the FP holders are let in first, and directed to sit front and center. Problem is, the stage is elevated, and little ones have trouble seeing from right in front of the stage.
