FP+ & Early Packaged ticket pick-up

I have a WDW package reservation beginning Mar 5th that includes my tickets. However, I'm checking into another WDW resort on the 1st (this reservation does not include tickets). I have been told by several people in other threads that I can pick up my tickets 3 days early at a theme park guest services (so on the 2nd, during my first reservation).

My question is how will FP+ work with this? Will I be able to make advance FP+ selections for the first part of my trip?

If you live in the USA, you will be shipped your MagicBands before you arrive, therefore your
tickets will be already available for use on the MB whenever you decide to go to the parks.

As far as ADVANCE FP+ goes... it's unclear if you will be able to make them in advance of your
package dates, but go ahead and try it.
If the system allows it, you're fine.

So the tickets on the magic bands are not programmed to activate on a certain date?

I would really like to be able schedule advanced FP. But if I can't, it would be great just to be able to arrive at the theme park that first day without having to pick up tickets. Our first day is at DHS. DSs want to do Jedi Training. I am afraid if I have to pick up tickets, we'll miss the sign up.
