I've gone to DLR a million times, but never with kids...until my next trip. My question is this: can you use child swap with FP, or is it it's own entity? Any help would be GREATLY appreciative. Thx!!

Yes. The tall enough riders can use the FPs and the one staying behind use the rider swap. They enter through the FP line usually when they go back to rid with the rider swap pass.

Yep, our DBF loves this since DS(now5) was afraid of Space Mountain even though tall enough for the last few years ... DH & DBF go use 2 FPs while I wait with DS4, then DBF & I go on the child swap pass while DH waits with DS4. If you have 4 fast-passes (1 from each ticket - DH, DBF, DS, me) you can do this twice and DBF gets to ride 4 times having only used one of his fast passes. If you really like a particular ride and have a 3rd adult its pretty nifty. Unfortunately DS5 is outgrowing his fears so we won't be able to do this anymore. ;)

Awesome stuff...so head to the FP queue and ask for child swap? Or grab child swap and two head to FP queue? Does it matter. Do CM's get wise to this or not a big deal?

It's totally not a big deal. We have frequently combined the two to the best advantage. PP explained it really well. CM's are happy to give you a child swap pass, even if you have a FP. Now our kids are all big - so it's a mixed blessing for us - no child swap needed, but no child swap pass/fast pass combo.

How does the child swap work? It will be my husband and I and our 3 year old daughter. Do we all wait in line together and then one of us goes first, and then the other goes right after?

Walk up to the front of the ride, with the child. The CMs will direct whichever adult is not riding on where to wait for the one that is (usually near the exit), the adult that is not riding will receive a paper that says Rider Switch (or something like that). When your partner comes off the ride, you go in the rider switch entrance (usually the handicapped entrance).
