FP+? Can this be done? 2 nights offsite before checking in with onsite package ...

We are staying onsite at Pop for one week but we may be able to arrive a couple days before our package starts and use some hotel points to stay offiste a couple nights.

I was wondering if my package has an 8 day park hopper can I upgrade that to a 10 day ticket and pick up my ticket early to use those 2 days before we check in at Pop? I thought this was something that I had read about in the past but I did take a break from the boards after my last trip and i know things change. (3years ago!)

Not sure how this works now with the magic bands etc. and will this effect me making my FP+ reservations. I know I make them 60 out from my onsite stay but can I make any for those other 2 nights that we are offsite before (30days out?) or not?

You can pick them up early.

You cannot make the FP+ arrangements for those early dates until you have the tickets in hand.

My experience is the same as bumbershoot's. I tried to add a day to my package, but couldn't because the extra hotel day was "room only". Therefore, while I could get an extra ticket, I could not make FP+s at 60 days out. I had to wait until I had the ticket in-hand, which wouldn't be until I arrived in Florida the day before. This particular example does not allow early FP+ bookings which kind of defeats the purpose of the system, but at this juncture there is no work-around.
