FP+ at Magic Kingdom

This was my first visit really paying attention to FP+. We have always been anti planners. We would decide which park to go to based on which bus came first.

The last few trips we have been forced to plan because if you don't you can't ever walk up and eat anywhere and now you can't necessarily get fast passes.

We were at the MK today. We got there at rope drop with our three pre planned FP+. We walked onto Space Mt and then walked onto Buzz. We rode the Seven Dwarfs coaster as our first FP+ and headed to Splash Mt but it was broke. That happened to our Big Thunder FP+ as well. In both cases we were allowed to ride a list of other rides between our original start time and closing.

We ended up using one for Haunted Mansion and the other for Splash Mountain which reopened. After lunch and walking onto Hall of Presidents, Phillharmagic, Country Bear, and Carousel of Progress it got interesting. We got fast passes for Buzz to ride in 5 minutes. We immediately got fast passes for the Barnstormer again to ride in 5 minutes. We ended up getting 7 additional FP+. In each case we walked straight from the kiosk to the ride.

We ended up riding everything except Pooh and Peter Pan.

I never would have thought we could ride all that on a Memorial Day Weekend without traditional fast passes.

thats the good thing when used correctly fast pass + really does help people out on their trips

We went during a busy time too and found that FP+ worked pretty well at MK. I thought it might be because there is so much to do there that the crowds tend to be more spread out. Plus I suspect that quite a few people still aren't using fastpasses. We only had any type of trouble with the super popular rides and most of that later in the day.
