FP+ and Rider Swap

Hello. I have a question that I want to verify they answer so I am not giving my family incorrect information. My family (large family of 10) goes to WDW every 2 years. The last we went, Magic Bands were still new and they were still doing Rider Swap with a paper ticket, like the old fastpasses.

How does it work now with FP+? Is it still a paper ticket? Do they put it on your band? We will have potentially 3 kids needing swap, depending on the ride (the kids are 9 [no need there], 5 [potential need], 2 [definitely need], and 5 months [most definitely need]).

We don't always stay together as a group of 10, so we all need to know what to expect. Is it still you go to the gate with the entire family and they give those not riding the swap passes to wait until the first few come off and then swap? Or is it entirely different?

Thank you so much! I've been more times than I can count, but not so much with littles.

You are in fact still given a paper ticket. The paper ticket as of November 8, 2015 granted access to 3 people. If you want more than 3 to enter the queue with a Rider Swap, have them go to the CM together to get more than 1 ticket.
