Hi I was wondering if someone could give me some input on the type of Park Tickets you feel works best with the new FP+ system, Park Hoppers or reg Park Tickets? Did you feel having Park Hoppers work better with this new system?

Unless something has changed, I was only able to book Fastpass+ for one park per day. If you hop you could not choose multiple Fastpass+ in multiple parks for the same day.

We have APs which are park hoppers so I cannot imagine doing it any other way. Some have reported success with booking afternoon FP in one park and starting with a park in the morning at rope drop. OTOH, a lot of people underestimate hoe long it takes to get from one park to another. You miss out on potential ride time when you hop. Many people don't want to waste 60 minutes standing in line at a ride but are willing to waste the same time running between parks.

If you think you want to see more than one park in a day, follow the plan outlined above. FP+ actually works better for this than the old system.

I guess I'm lost on this new system so if I'm getting what you are saying you are limited to 3 FP+ per day not per park.
I was thinking you could only prebook 3FP+'s before your visit but on the day you were visiting you could get 3 FP+ at your second park but that is not the case, correct? only 3 FP+ per ticket per day that you are visiting, well that doesn't sound good..

Any other info that could help us would be great too, thanks

thanks for the help

Unfortunately no.....You can only have 3 per day period. If you park hop and want the FP+s for the park that you hop to, then you can't have any at the first park you go to that day.

Yes, only 3 FP+ per day at the park of your choosing (per person).

Some people have mentioned that you could park hop by going to one park in the morning (ex: Magic Kingdom) without any FP+ reservations, and the hopping to another park in the afternoon (ex: EPCOT) that already has your 3 FP+ reservations booked there (for EPCOT rides). That way you essentially could park hop and not have to be in the "afternoon park" (EPCOT) in the morning to pull a paper FP.

I haven't picked up my tickets yet so I haven't been in the FP+ system to prebook my fastpasses so I was wondering if anyone could let me know exactly what type of rides I can use my fastpasses on. For instance can I get a FP+ for Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller Coaster and Star Tours or are we being limited to 1 big ride per park too..

Currently there is an implied limit of one Fastpass per day for big rides at Epcot and Hollywood Studios. They call this "tiering" where you can choose just one ride from the Donald group, up to two from the Daisy group, etc.

Which rides are in which group and how many you can Fastpass (v.t.) from each group are subject to change, including more Fastpasses on less busy days.

Paper Fastpasses are completely discontinued now and the kiosks are closed down. If you haven't booked all three of your Fastpass Plus reservations for that day, you can go to (different, electronic) kiosks in the park to book them for that same day.

This.

We found that hopping works well if you do EMH in one park and then hop to the park that you have your fp's booked in. Otherwise it's better to do one park per day with your fp's spread out so you don't have to criss cross too much to get to them all.

If things don't change we're probably done with hoppers. But we expect to always be here with moderate to high crowd levels. People who travel at low crowd times might give you a different answer.
