FP+ and MM questions

So we are going on a cruise and we are going to the park for a few days before and after the cruise. We will be there for 3 days before and 2 days after. We are also traveling with two other families. I've never done Disney with more than just my family and I've never done FP+ so here are my questions.

1. I am getting a 5 day park ticket with the first reservation since it will be good by the time we get back. When can I book my FP+? Do I book 3 days and then on the second reservation book the other 2 days? Or can I book it all at once?

2. How does MM work with groups of people. I was planning on purchasing it for my family because we are doing the MVMCP also and I want the pictures but can we all share a plan? Not sure how exactly that works. Do I like it to my band and then have them get the cards?

Is there anything else that I am missing? Or is there any good links with more information that I could learn. We haven't been to the parks in a few years all before the FP+.

I think it would be the 3 and then the 2, but I'm not positive. The system may let you make them for all of the days at once. I know if you have back to back reservations it will, but I'm not sure with the cruise being in the middle.

You can all share one MM. For this to work, everyone needs to show up in your friends and family (if you are the one who will have the MM entitlement). They also need to make sure that you are authorized on their accounts to view their photos. If everyone will have magic bands it will make it easier as they can just have their bands scanned for photos to appear in their accounts, and their ride photos will be linked automatically (no scanning required). The alternative is to use the regular PP cards which all PP photographers have, and to manually link those to the account. The other thing to remember with this is that only the person who has the MM entitlement can edit the photos to be downloaded. Others will be able to edit photos on their accounts, but they will not be able to be downloaded by the person with the MM unless done on their account. Also, no ride photos will be able to be seen on any of the accounts without the MM attached to it (so only you will be able to see everyone's ride photos).
