FP and ADR question

What are the odds of getting FP or ADR for anything or anywhere good???

This is the subjective quote that determines the answer. If you mean, "will I get everything I want, when I want?" The answer is No. If the answer is "Can I still get good ADR/FP and have a great vacation?" The answer is Yes. Just stay flexible and open minded. Look often. Grab the best things you like that are available at the moment and keep upgrading. There is no way you were going to do everything in one trip anyway. Just avoid going in with the mindset that I must get the most popular items at the most popular times for my trip to be a success. You are planning in advance and you will have a blast.

Can I book them now, or does it have to be 60 or 30 days prior? Our trip is 8/20-8/24

You can book your ADR's now.

You cannot book FP+ until you have tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account. If you are staying offsite, the earliest you can book FP+ is 30 days prior to your park days. If you are staying onsite, you can book all of your FP+ (based on length of ticket) at 60 days prior.

The one ADR I really want, BOG, is showing no availability for the week I’m there. I guess I’ll keep checking to see if anything comes up

Yes, it's very popular and is booked well in advance – but the Touring Plans ADR finder that people have recommended in this thread can help you find availability. Check it out.

Does the Touring Plans ADR finder help find available reservations better or different from the MDE app?

No. It just means that they have someone who will periodically check to see if anything is available.

You can do it also - but they sometimes look at times you are asleep.

I will say that especially for something popular like BOG you need to jump the SECOND you get the notification. And even then you won't always succeed because odds are high there are others who have the same search and the notification goes out to all who do.

Well put. I have never been able to secure a BOG reservation due to a Touring Plans ADR notification. Someone always beat me to it, however because I kept searching, I was able to upgrade my initial ADR 2 more times to get a good time slot at my 2nd or 3rd choice. By the time the night arrived, we enjoyed our meal very much and never thought again about the BOG reservation we couldn't secure. If you do get lucky and secure one, that will be awesome and just gravy.
