Four Seasons

Hey there I have a trip planned for NOV 2017. I'm usually a Club Level gal, and love the deluxe resorts, I currently have Yacht Club CL booked for the wonderful pool and the CL amenities.
However, Hubby and I have been before and this trip is just the 2 of us, after our cruise on the Fantasy. I am considering trying the Four Seasons, people rave about it and I would like to know if you've stayed and if you enjoyed it?? Which would you recommend? stick with my YC CL reservation or try somewhere new?

I've stayed at the Four Seasons one time (for only 1 night) in a non-club room and found it very nice indeed. Also have had meals in both Ravello and Capa. Again, both were very good.

Alternative suggestion: Waldorf Astoria at Bonnet Creek. We've stayed there 3 or 4 times (again for only 1 night, we're local and this was a special occasion) and found it very good as well. The steakhouse there, Bull & Bear is very, very good.

We stayed at FS for a long weekend last summer, just me and DW. Most of our other trips have been CL stays on property (with kids). I'm sort of a "CL guy" to steal your phrase.

We very much enjoyed our FS stay, but I'm not so sure we'd go back outside of a special occasion. Frankly I'd probably rather go back with our kids than just us, the pool area/facilities are phenomenal and pretty much blow any Deluxe out of the water (even YC/BC). Obviously the whole place is nice, new, clean, beautiful, spotless, etc, etc. Dining options are all first rate. Having true poolside service with quality food/drinks is divine (I wish Disney would up their game on this front). Service is top notch. DW had a spa treatment that she said was one of the best she'd ever had. It was very low key and relaxing, which was perfect (although we did get bored one night and took the bus to Epcot for a change of scene).

But... to us it was a bit sterile and I missed the vibe of staying at a real Disney property (some people probably very much like it for the not in-your-face Disney feel!). I know it's the FS and it just costs more, but I disliked small things like having to pay a fortune for a small bottle of water (vs, say, 'free' CL water readily available). I'd rather have a CL breakfast any day than an overpriced FS breakfast, but maybe that's just me.

I'm glad we tried it - definitely no regrets in doing so. It's just totally a "different" type of Disney experience. On the whole, we'd probably rather stay CL on property if given the choice, even for a couples weekend.

Obviously just our opinion. FS opinions are certainly as subjective as they come! Happy to answer any questions.

I'd love to stay at either of those! My Fodor's guide said the Waldorf spa has a "tea lounge." Wish!

I stayed at the FS this past March. we had a little hiccup in our stay, but it was handled professionally. Service was impeccable, especially at the pool. it is a very pricey resort. Personally, I would take a deluxe resort with club level access than a standard room at the FS. Food and drink are expensive and will add to your stay. Having lounge access would be fantastic and so convenient!

We are going back to Orlando in March and we have debated on returning to the FS or not. We currently have a reservation for a 1500 sq ft suite at the Waldorf Astoria and still paying less than a non view deluxe room at the FS (although that's only because I booked the suite 10 months in advance, prices have gone up). I think I know which room I will keep. As someone has already suggested, I would also consider looking into the Waldorf Astoria.

I loved the fact it was not over the top with the theme . Loved the high quality furnishings and the quality of the staff. But Waldorf would be better value. Especially with better value.

After years of being devoted GF guests, we went to The Four Seasons for lunch to try it out. We liked it so much we sent for our bags from the GF and stayed there the rest of the trip. We have been back twice and are going again later this month - and love it so much we would never consider staying anywhere else!

I have been to many four seasons. And found Orlando to be the best. And been to many luxury chains and fs is the best.

I think its a little far for a 4 year old to Magic Kingdom, I think Grand Floridan or Contemporary would be closer to the parks. In case you or your four year old get tired.

thanks! I think we've settled on a DVC rental at polynesian. Hopefully the monorail will make it easier for everyone. what we give up in luxury we'll (hopefully) make up in convenience!
