Hi! We have reservations next week for the Four seasons which looks absolutely amazing. However, I’m now second guessing and wondering if it might be better to stay at the Beach Club for half the price and use the savings for a one day MK VIP tour. We are traveling with 3 boys (7, 5 and almost 2). Very conflicted. We stayed at the beach club 3 years ago and liked the location and ease of getting everywhere, however typically like higher end hotels.

Apologies if you’ve done this already, but have you confirmed a VIP tour is available for your date? They are much more likely to sell out these days compared to pre-Covid.

I could make a case for either of your choices, just depends on what you’re going for. Both are “worth” the money IMO. If the weather is looking colder or swimming is not of interest, I would probably angle toward BC and doing a tour. If it’s warm and you want one of the best pool setups of any hotel in the US and you’re less focused on park time, go FS. FS is great, but a much different experience than BC - so a lot depends on what appeals to you and how you like to do WDW.

Hope that helps - happy to answer any questions.

Very helpful, thanks!! We are actually on the wait list so I might be overanalyzing for nothing haha 😵‍💫 But the agent made it seem like we had a good chance of getting a cancellation so I guess I’ll see what happens over the next 3 days while I can still cancel FS.

Do you already have a BC reservation which you will cancel if you decide not to use it?

You indicate that it would be half the price, so I guess maybe you do if you know what it would cost.

If you don't already have a BC reservation, I would assume it is all booked up for next week.

Ha, yeah, the tours are tough these days. I agree the wait list isn’t a hopeless proposition… but you just never know. It’s been crazy how tough to get they are since Covid.

My kids are a little older than yours (11/7)… in our early WDW travels we only wanted to be on property as the parks were a big focus. As time has gone on and we don’t need/want to spend all of our time in the parks, FS is a nice alternative for an occasional splurgy trip. I don’t really love how the food is so annoyingly expensive and the bus setup is just ok, but the resort, grounds, pools, kids club (a parent’s dream!), pool service, and dining options are all really good IMO. I try not to look at the bill though. 🙈

At least you’re in a good spot as you can’t go wrong with either option, IMO. Have fun!

Hi! So we did a VIP tour one day during our last trip in February 2021 and it was great for two reasons. One - it’s just a really really fun experience. But two - we were able to ride everything we wanted in one day, so the rest of the trip was much less hectic and pressure-filled. With the crowds being as large as they’ve been, it really made a difference in our ability to enjoy our trip. We were also at the Beach Club and as you know it definitely isn’t a typical luxury resort, but the location is hard to beat!

You can’t go wrong either way, have so much fun!
