Four resorts need opinions?

A friend of mine is able to get me a discount through RCI since her husband works for them. I am really thinking of taking her up on the offer since its a great deal and it will save me some money and still allow us to go to Disney.

So I have narrowed it down to the 2 bedroom villas at these four hotels:

Wyndham Cypress Palms

Sheraton Vistana Resort

Vacation Village at Parkway (?? In Kissimmee)

Oasis Lakes at the Fountain

I've been able to get a small description on tripadvisor and rci's website, but thought I would ask some opinions here if anyone has stayed there

Let me also add...we will be going in May and it will probably be me, my 4 year old son, my friend, and her 4 and 2 year olds.

Fountains. It's reported to be one of the very nicest RCI resorts in Orlando.

I would also vote for the Fountains. Great pool and waterplay area for the kids and the resort is located in a less congested area. Easy drive to the parks too.

So, Oasis Lakes at the Fountains is the same resort that everyone refers to as just "The Fountains"? I was wondering about that.

I wondered that also because "The Fountains" is a Blue Green Resort.

They are part of the same overall resort---and some Oasis Lakes owners did convert to Bluegreen---but technically they are run by different homeowners associations, so they are not "the same". As I understand it, they are very comparable in quality. If anything the Oasis Lakes HOA is in slightly higher esteem, as I understand it.

also enjoyed Sheraton Vistana Resort and Vacation Village at parkway - both are closer to WDW than Fountains.

Funny you should mention those. I'm staying at VV@Parkway this February, and just booked a week at Vistana for President's Week 2011. (All nine of Vistana's HOAs are expected to be done with their major refurbishments right around then.)

And, both *are* really nice, and they *are* closer to Disney. But, I would still pick the Fountains over either if the choice was available to me. Until Vistana is completely done with its refurbishment, I'd pick VV@P second. Once Vistana is complete, I think Vistana moves up a notch.
