Its an old hotel with a good location for Universal. If you're only staying 1 night, I'm sure it would serve its purpose fine. From the rates I've seen in the past $215 sounds a bit steep for this property...

I have stayed here a few times with my fiance and we love it, we love the location and the atmostphere at the hotel!

The prices have recently gone up as it has been renovated which was needed! I would definately stay here again.....we got an amazing deal on the Hard Rock Hotel for next year, if not, this hotel would have been an option for us!

I stayed there 2 weeks ago for $21/night. As someone has already noted I reviewed it so there are recent pictures plus comments from other people who have stayed there as well. If you look above the very first post you will see a part that has the reviews.

how in the dickens did you get it for $21 per night

I used Priceline and I had a $10/night bonus that was sent to me (you can't ask for them they just get sent out at random). The going rate for a 3-star right now in the Universal Studios area is about $30-$35/night and the hotels that have the winning bids are either the Sheraton Four Points or the Hyatt. I actually would have preferred the Hyatt because it's right across the street and they have free breakfast. If you need help with bidding strategies PM me.
