Four parks in one day - bad idea?

Hello all, my husband and I will be in Orlando in late April for a wedding, and will probably go to Disney for a day. We go fairly often, so there's a lot that we don't feel the need to do. We're rope drop to closers, and thought it would be fun to go to all the parks just to hit our favorites. Here's my tentative plan:

DAK:
Safaris
Dinosaur

DHS:
RNRC
ToT

Epcot:
Soarin'
Test Track
Spaceship Earth
Le Cellier lunch?

MK:
Space Mountain
Haunted Mansion
PoTC
Tiki Room
BTMR
Parade and fireworks

I figure we can be at MK at 1 or 2pm (especially if we skip the sit-down lunch). Is this nuts? Or doable and fun? Would you make any structural changes to my plan?

With those attractions I think you'd be doing well to get to MK by 3:00p. If you're experienced visitors, I say go for it. FWIW, I've done 6 in one day (including Universal's 2) as a single during a very light day.

We think 4 parks would be fun but you will waste a lot of time traveling. We stopped park hopping anywhere for that reason.

I am planning on doing three in a day in April. I have a similar plan, in just hitting my favorites. I also planning on seeing flower and garden festival and then eating dinner at Cali Grill, otherwise I would try for 4 parks. My plan is to use fast passes for some favorites in MK in the late afternoon after doing the other parks starting with HS at rope drop.

:thumbsup2 Go for it! I did this a couple summers ago with a friend of mine. We had no plan, and we still managed to do everything we wanted to do. We even left before close!

Since you have a plan, I anticipate this will be a successful, fun, and exhausting (but so worth it) trip.

I'm planning to do 4 Parks/1 Day this year, just for fun - this will be my 4th Annual Solo Trip, and just one day out of a longer trip, so it's OK if I don't make all my goals. My one tip is, I think I would skip doing any TS meals - I would be concerned about that taking up too much time. I'm going to Epcot for lunch for my favorite CS meal (lamb shawarma platter in Morocco), and will get dinner in MK at probably either CHH or Pinocchio's depending on crowds and what I'm in the mood for.

I'm planning to start at DHS so I can hit TSM stand-by at rope drop and save my FP+s for evening at MK. The one thing I may reconsider is, I was hoping to make the 3 pm Nemo show at AK, but I'm afraid doing that might leave me getting to MK later than I want. I may decide to just go visit the pretty stripey kitties instead - or maybe that's the day I'll get brave enough to try EE! :scared1:

My brother and I only had 1 day in Disney in November and got all 4 parks done quite easily, including travel time. We started at 8am in Epcot, got everything done (longest wait was Soarin at 30 mins), then went to AK where we booked our FP+s, after we used all our FP+ times, we went to DHS and booked 3 more. Road R&RC twice with low wait times, then made it to MK for a bunch of rides and closed down with Wishes. Its totally doable if youre driving yourself, Disney transport is good, but driving yourself makes things go quickly! :) Good luck!

This past summer, we did 4 parks in one day two times.

The first was on a trip with just DH & I. Our kids were at camp & we were celebrating our birthdays. We were eating lunch at MK after an early EMH at Epcot when we decided to go for all 4 parks. So, no plan, and we hit our favorites at all 4 parks.

The second time (exactly one month later) is what I call the guilt trip. Our kids had been shocked & appalled that we would go to Disney World without them. While we were on a family beach trip, it was raining & DH said, "Let's pack up & head to Disney World!" On our second day there, we did all 4 parks, all our favorites & logged over 25,000 steps on our fitbits! Our kids are talking about it to this day. One of our most memorable trips for sure.

I think the key is using EMH to your advantage & telling yourself that you will only be able to hit your absolute favorites if you want to hit all four parks. It's a fun adventure, but I wouldn't want to tour that way every time.

You can totally do it!! We did it on our last day and we had to be on the Tragic Express bus back to MCO at 6pm. We started with an 8am EMH at AK and hit the E tickets in each park. We were exhausted but it was a great way to end our trip. Here are our pics from each park:

Do it! We did 4 parks in one day a few months ago. DD had seen someone with a shirt and the idea stuck in her head, we had a blast! As you get closer check the opening and closing times. I think starting at AK is a must!
