Yeah for your daughter graduating from Speech.Went to DD's IEP meeting this morning. She's exceeded all the goals for this year and is officially dismissed from speech therapy. She still has a few problems with some letter sounds but not enough to pull her out of class on a regular basis. But her therapy teacher, her classroom teacher, the principal, and I are all in agreement that if it seems as though she is having some problems, the therapist will pull her out for a session or two.
D&D, kids went back to school today. Had a nice peaceful day at home with the youngest. At least until the rest came home.
My DS11 still goes to it. More so to help him speak in sentences we can understand. His pronounciation is okay now, just doesn't know how to put his thoughts into the correct words. We've had problems here too - mostly on weekends when there's more adults there. However, we only go to Chucks when I have coupons and definitely not on the weekends. Yesterday it was just a bunch of other moms with their kids home on spring break. Lots of little ones too, so it wasn't so bad.
I love Saturday night races. DH and I have a beer, eat some wings and argue the night away.

I had speech therapy as a kid.. I talked like Elmer Fudd. Now I can say "the rabbit ran around the red rose bush" without thinking but anything else I still have to consciously think about pronouncing my 'r's.

Evening!!! Had the same stinky weather again today. Where's the sun?
I'm embarrassed to admit this, but, I waited until today to do our taxes. I though we would have to pay in a lot this year so I kept putting it off. Took 6 hours to do them because we had to file 3 different state returns. What a pain.
Pikester, how are you feeling today?
M&N, must you torment me with all those beautiful pictures? Isn't picking on Kyle enough for you anymore?
DL55, I had speech as a child too. I couldn't say the "s" sound for anything. Everything came out as a "sh" sound. Imagine the faces of my family when I asked them to "sit" down somewhere.
D&D, sounds like my shopping trips except they know not ask about the cart. I couldn't take the fighting over that anymore and told them that I am the only one who will push the shopping cart from now on. I bet if they knew how many years of shopping cart pushing they have ahead of them, they wouldn't be fighting about it anymore.
I'm still really tired so I plan on being in bed by 9:30pm. I also have that tickle cough. Drives me NUTS!
