My brother use to be really into college basketball. For a while, I would follow it just to talk to him. When it's March Madness, that was the only thing on his mind.
I'm having the biggest problem with shoes. When I drive, I can slip several pairs under the seat. It's different having them in the suitcase. I have my shoes for my skirt and my sneakers for the parks. I'm wearing Easy Spirit slides for the plane and having to take off shoes for security. I would like to take another pair of slides but not sure if I'll have room. I really don't need them but I really don't like wearing the same pair 2 days in a row. I'll probably just wear socks at their house. We won't be going out every day either.
I haven't made my picks for this week yet. I always have such a problem picking for Bristol. I mean, anything can happen and it usually does.
I really want to pick Jr....really, I do. He is usually good at Bristol. But it just seems that since he went to Hendrick, something is missing. He doesn't even seem to be a shoe-in for plate races anymore.
Bopsmom Where in CA is DH going? San Diego has lots to do. San Francisco is fun if you like cities. If he's anywhere near LA then of course there's DL!
The meeting most likely will be in San Diego and most likely at the Del Coronado. DH lived in SD about 2 years ago for about 6 months so DD and I have been there to visit. We loved it there-DD wanted to move there until the whole place caught on fire. She love Coronado Island-that is where we bought our bikes-they have a great bike store on the island. I think she wants to try her luck there again.
We went to DL while we stayed in SD and it was fun but I don't know about going in July. Part of the reason for not going to WDW was the heat. If we wanted heat, we would stay home.
We considered San Francisco but she wanted to go somewhere sunny and with beaches. We even offered up the Monterey Aquarium as part of the deal-she wasn't sold.
I still don't know if Ohio is off the table for summer either-
I just want to get her through the rest of the year and I told DH I don't want to plan too much.
That's why I hate to fly too. There never seems to be enough room for what you want to bring. Technically, depending on the airline, we could bring 6 pieces of luggage with us but who wants to lug all that around. And if I cut down the amount of pieces, everything is too heavy.
Right now, I think I can fit everything into to larger suitcases and a rolling duffle bag. At least clothes wise. I'll have to bring a small overnight bag and another small bag for electronics but I think that's it. They can be as heavy as I need them to since the boys bill be lugging them in.
I have a big one on wheels. I'm just using a Mickey tote for a carry on. I don't want to have to mess with a larger one. I'm taking those bags you can suck the air out of to come home. They'll allow for more room in the suitcase to bring things back. Mary Anne told me I can get Disney to ship my things if I got a lot from 1 place. No tax and I think the postage was around $10.
When we last flew to Orlando, one of the suitcases was half filled with snacks and breakfast foods. So by the end of the week, it was all gone and left us plenty of room for souvenirs. We also used those bags too.
We had to bring 4 carryons. One for extra clothes, one for electronics and 2 for the kids junk to keep them occupied. Way too much hassle for me with the regular luggage. In the van, I can just throw whatever wherever and not worry about it.
Yet! Who's going to keep me in line while you are gone? I might have to venture out there into the CB since nobody will be here at night. And you know, someone will post something to p*** me off.
I cannot believe you used flaming numbers too! I had it all ready to post and had another window open to the DIS to watch your posts. Then my window froze after I posted. I had to close them all and open again.
Thanks for the vote of confidence but I really don't think anyone can keep you in line. Just take a deep breath and say...What would M&N do if I were banned?
