It's Friday the 13th!
M&N Someone's going to WDW :dance3: Good for you, have fun. ;)
racetrack18kb So glad to hear your DS has been behaving better. :cool2:

I had a relaxing time in Albuquerque. Stayed inside all Tuesday as it was windy and snowing. Actually read a book. We ate at a fondue restaurant. We loved it, never had fondue before. I know, we are sooo unsophisticated. :snooty:

We had a real winner in supplying for our Grade 2 teacher today. I was in making coffee and treats up for the teacher's break, walked into the kitchen, and there she is trying to figure out how to turn on the stove, she's making cupcakes for valentine's...she has two students with her and one of them has his hands on the coffee urn which is in the middle of perking!!! I told him to let go and get away from it...she was totally oblivious. I ended up sending her back to class and told her I would do the cupcakes and let her know when they were done. The urn was very hot and obviously on...steaming and bubbling...I'm surprised he wasn't hurt. DUH!!

OK done ranting.

Happy Friday the 13th Ladies.

Happy VD eve everyone!

Valentine party: everywhere. :jumping3: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

:scared: What's the antidote for sugar high???? Should I give them a shot of Jack D?:lmao:

I'mmmmm Back!!! Yeah leave it to me to come back on Friday the 13th :rotfl2: Hi Everyone, Hi new TKer's that actually aren't that new.
I read all the pages, started the other night and got to page 40, then couldn't get back on till today and finish.

First before going any further: Pepper I am so sorry about your dad:hug:, I was reading along and was taken back when I read that post. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Racer I read so many pages and not until 60 something did I see your siggie about me. ahh how sweet.

Well got through Christmas:faint: Finally decided that I cannot do two trees (mine and DM's). In a perfect world if I didn't have two kids constantly sick and all sorts of other things going on no problem. Not in my world! For some strange reason this year the live tree's set my allergies off to no end:confused3. Total Histamine attack for days after doing the lights, I have Disney to thank for my obsession about 1500+ on my tree. DM's tree which is a bit smaller then mine still gets about a 1000.

Since coming back from Disney in early December, the kids were sick. Actually DS got sick down there on Monday, we were leaving Wed. That was the night we had tickets to MVMCP. I knew he didn't feel well when he didn't want to go. We stayed 'home' and DS and her BF went.
So home and more going to the Doc's and having kids home sick. Hello I needed to get X-mas shopping done:scared1:. DD was sick and would get a bit better but not fully.
January she was told she has Mono, can't tell you through the years how many times she has been tested and it always was negative. When she goes down she stays down for a long time. Never expected a positive, and apparently from the blood work she had it for a bit. Her counts showed she was in the middle. In addition she was having abdominal pain that put us in the ER later that week. That was a story in itself, since we were at two!

So DD has been home, never went back from Christmas break. She is on homebound study. Getting restless which is good, that means after 15 hours of sleep she has some energy. Mono is frustrating b/c you can't do anything but sleep it off. She of course has had some of the things that can happen w/mono. Liver b/c enlarged, blood work came back and are okay.
DS I finally took to a ENT and no surprised has enlarged adnoids and they need to be removed. Dsil had her dble mastecomy and has started her chemo treatment. They are treating heavy duty apparently it was a very aggressive form. They even want her to do radiation.

DD turned 18 on Feb. 2nd, yes she was born on Ground hogs day (read the post in reference to Ground Hogs). Can't believe it my baby is 18!
She is going on Senior Trip:scared1: guess where??? yep DISNEY!!! :rotfl2: okay so she's been there about 15 times, but with her parents. When we were there in Dec. we kept teasing maybe we would book a 'spring' trip at the same time:confused3 she didn't find that funny.

So I guess that sums up my life for the past few months. Have to say I'm tired please can't my kids be well? That was a briefing and more then enough.
For all you talking about facebook I have one:woohoo: yes your computer genius is on facebook. Funny it started with one friend request from someone in town. So I click and have to sign up, okay the go figure it say's something about writing on her wall????Wall what the hec is a wall:lmao:. I really need a Facebook For Dummies book. I asked my DD and she said OMG you are on Facebook? Yes, I have friend request:rotfl2:. Worse yet for her her father now created a account. She totally believes her parents have lost it. She has one (has had one), but she won't add me as a friend:sad1: she says no mom your not friends with your parents on facebook. I tried to guilt her into it when a family we know there two daughters added there mom. Okay they are not 18, but one is 23.
Racer I see you have crossed over and have a trip planned to US. Good going. Bopsmom you have two tickers what is the trip about just the 4ofus?
Wendy sorry about you having to cancel surgery. That I would take a God's sign you weren't meant to have it done then.
I'm not leaving anyone out, I can't comment on the past 80+ pages, just random thoughts that come to mind.
Hey question that sight that you can see live video streams and then had it's name change. Bopsmom, you posted it but in the post it had**********a bunch of those what is it? Email me. Oh and the mean girl trip:sad2: :scared1: can't believe that made me so angry. DH was walking by the computer and he saw the pic's and was like what is that and I explained and he proceeded to read over my should what you posted about the girls mothers explanation. Considering he was probably on :cloud9: that I haven't been on the boards (I'm sure he thought, good she's not addicted any longer).
Okay bbl

Hi disney54us!!!!!! welcome back!

So sorry about all the sickness in your house. Thankfully my kids have been fine, it's just me that's been under the weather. I hope DD is feeling better soon, and that DS gets over his adenoid problem too.

PM me your "real name" and I'll add you as a friend on FB!

Oh thanks Wendy:hug:, I just emailed you. I think I have the right email address.
Glad your kids fared well this winter. I know you have been hit with one thing after the other:eek:.
Seems it is everywhere all over the country and Canada, at least I know it's not just my parts getting all the germs. Of course I base this on scientific research, reding the TK board:rotfl2:. The stomach virus has attacked this area also in reading I see this is a equal opportunity virus.
Don't think I got to comment on the 3rd TK board how great you look, wow lady amazing. What discipline, but hey you did it!!!!!!!

Hey Disney54us...welcome back. Sounds like you've had one heck of a couple of months. Hope everyone feels better soon. You'll find the rest of us facebookers among Wendy's friends list.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Am I going to be able to take the little sign out of my siggie or are you going to disappear again?

Seriously, welcome back. Sorry for all that has been going on. That is just insane. I really hope everyone is completely on the mend.

I already found you on facebook. Thanks Wendy!!!!

Hey all! Just a quick hi!

Disney54us!!! Welcome back!!!!! We have missed you!

Thank you for the prayers.:grouphug: It was quite a shock even with the cancer. But, we are so grateful to the Lord that he took him home before he suffered. What a wonderful God we have. I have made a promise to myself to live each day of my life just like he (and my Mom of course lol) raised me. Positive! Of course I am still stuck in "I'm positive I will feel better eventually." but hey, it's a start.

Oh my your DD is 18!!! Welcome to the world of parenting an 18 year old girl ha ha. Mine turned 18 last month. Have you gotten the "But I am 18 now" line? :rotfl: I think it is funny because my DS tried to pull the same stuff. So so glad you are back! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Okay everyone, I have to have a brag moment: Check out this link my DS is Nick Wilson: http://www.vwc.edu/athletics/baseball/release.php?disp=2411

Oh DD, God love her lol, backed her car in to the AC unit today. It only left a little dent that DS and DH were able to bang right out, but of course DD was absolutely beside herself. I felt so bad for her all I could do was hug her. She really is a good driver...as long as she is going forward, backward that clutch kicks on her every time! She has to park places she can pull out forward most places she goes, unfortunately our driveway can't really be backed in to (we live on a busy street)

Thanks for the welcome back. I'm sure it was a shock. Strange when you are reading page by page like I was.
I remember you talking about DS and 18. So I figure, if she goes that route I will do the same. What's for dinner, your 18, laundry? your 18. Need †his? your 18. It is newhas only been 11 days at 18 but what changes in our state is at 17 your car better be parked in the driveway by 12:01 AM. She hasn't pushed that yet, though I'm sure when the nice weather comes and she is better I will hear it. Hey she's 18 but your still living in my house, get over it.
Oops sorry to hear about your DD's mishap, and really that's what it is. we have a long 200 ft drive, but narrow. If it is behind the gate I know she has a hard time pulling out.
We'll have to check out your link, is that your BB star?:goodvibes

.
Bopsmom---Middle schoolers :scared1: me!
The parents :scared1: me. I'm certified 6th - 12th in seven subjects. Still, the parents are the scary ones. :goodvibes

I'mmmmm Back!!!:

Welcome Back - Missed Ya:hug: Great about DS As for DD, this is why they should make NerfMobiles for teenagers. She was OK and that's all that matters. Cars can be fixed!

Pepper:hug:  I hope you and your mom are ok.

I'll try and answer both posts....Lighttech---have you thought of preschool? I don't think their requirements as as bad. It may not be full time though and have bennies either. Look at it this way---you are giving the 2 most important kids in the world an education only a loving mommy can give them. That will pay off big time.
Thanks! I do love spending time and teaching my own. But, I LOVE kids and love teaching. Having interns here at work is one of my favorite parts. Especially getting to share w/ them something I"m so passionate about. A few have made career changes based on their time here, and its very exciting. (Very few people actually specialize/major in Lighting Design, so we get a lot of "Communications," "Videography" or "Film" majors... and a few of them have learned they really want to focus on Lighting Design which is pretty cool.) I actually intended to double major in Theatre and Education when I went to college, but both programs were so intense I decided I couldn't give either one justice, so I went full out w/ the riskier one while I was young and stupid (jk :rotfl: ) and wanted to go back for the education degree later. Then, life happened, and I've just never made it back. Not that I'm complaining... "life" w/ my kids and DH is a pretty great thing to have happened.
I had a relaxing time in Albuquerque. Stayed inside all Tuesday as it was windy and snowing. Actually read a book. We ate at a fondue restaurant. We loved it, never had fondue before. I know, we are sooo unsophisticated. :snooty:
YUM! I love fondue. Although, I never knew until a few years ago that it was more than just dipping bread in melty cheese. Pretty "unsophisticated" myself I suppose!

:headache: Unbelievable how oblivious some people can be. Have you ever heard of the "Darwin Awards?" Much more extreme than this, but certainly illustrates a point.
I'mmmmm Back!!!
Okay bbl
:worship: :worship: I can barely make it thru longer posts like yours, let alone all those pages!!! I don't know how you do it!
Welcome back.
Sorry about all the sickies. I guess from all the reading, you know you are not alone. I hope DD feels better. They thought I had mono a few weeks ago, and I was so worried and stressed! I didn't know how I'd deal w/ it. I'm sure its no picnic and I'm glad her energy is coming back at least a little.

Oh, and Happy Birthday to DD! Wow. 18! I know I'll turn around and my little guys will be there too... I suddenly want to go home and hug them.

Hey all! Just a quick hi!
Positive! Of course I am still stuck in "I'm positive I will feel better eventually." but hey, it's a start. )
It certainly is!

Oh Lord! Tell the poor girl not to be too hard on herself. I once hit a parked car... and I was 22! (The wheel slipped as I was pulling into a parking space and I dinged the door on the car in the next spot. I felt SO bad too. Number one, the poor owner had just gotten the car a week before. -It was at work, so I was able to have security look up the license plate so I could contact the owner- And, it was only a small ding, but I managed to do it right in btw 2 panels, so they BOTH had to be refinished... wound up costing me $500.)

Speaking of cars, I missed the conversation about rides, but I'm still driving the car I bought when I was 17, and I'm jealous of those of you w/ the "Mom mobiles!" I love my car, but its a little 2 door Toyota Celica. Its held up well (knock wood - we can't afford another car payment right now), but getting 2 kids in and out of the back seat in carseats. :scared1: No fun!

Anyway, gotta run. It was fun catching up a little for once!

Works every time ha ha.

We are hanging in there. Thank You.

:lmao: Yep, kept that one in the back of my mind!

:worship: :worship: I can barely make it thru longer posts like yours, let alone all those pages!!! I don't know how you do it!

Hey Lighttech, it took a while but I would have been so lost on what has been going on with my TK'ers so I read through. Yes, I did read how they thought you had mono, thinking oh no she has two little ones to care for. Glad yours came back negative.
Thanks for DD's birthday wishes, it is hard to believe I have a 18 year old.

Bobpsmom, in my catch up reading I know you are getting ready with your seeds. Yes mine did great last year, so you can count me in if you have extra again this year:thumbsup2 :goodvibes.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY KILLERS!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Disney54us is back! :yay: Sorry everyone was ill. :flower3:

Pepperw23 a  for your DD, accidents happen. My sister ran into the garage door. Mom had a neighbor come over to straighten and brace it so it would open and my dad wouldn't find out. Of course there was a huge gouge in the door, hard not to notice. :lmao:
