Four-mer TKers...4 one, 4 all, 4 ever

Good morning to anyone out there! Santa made it too our house last night and left DD a nice stack of presents. He drank all his milk, ate all his cookies and finished up the carrots too. DD had left him a note and some pictures so he left her a thank you note. He forgot to shut the doors on the fireplace. Silly Santa!

Yesterday afternoon we went and watched a Christmas play at some of our friend's church. It was called the Jim and Jim Show. I am very glad we went because it was really good. A little humor and just enough reminder of what Christmas is really about. At the end we sang Christmas carols while holding up the lights on our cell phones. I came home feeling all warm and fuzzy.

I threw some sandwiches together and we watched A Very Merry Pooh Year and then I had to finish up my wrapping. I AM NOT WAITING UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE NEXT YEAR! I started about 9 and was up until just after midnight. Then we piled onto DD's bed and read her a Christmas story which just happens to be named "Emma's Christmas". Oh I forgot to mention that while I was doing all that wrapping, DH and DD put together a gingerbread house. They did a wonderful job! I was so proud of DH for coming up with the idea and doing it with DD.

This morning I let DD open one present to tide her over until the guys wake up. Then the wrapping paper will fly! After DH's older DD has Christmas morning at her mom's she, DSIL and the grandson will show up this afternoon and we will open a few more gifts. Then it's dinner time thanks to DH. After all that I hope we get to have a nice relaxing evening.

I hope all the TKers have a wonderful and blessed day. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! :santa:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

The kids woke us up at 7am today wanted to open the presents. DD12 was shocked by the Wii. Got a little squeal of excitement out of her. It was nice to hear that excitement from her again.

I stuck with what I said about only buying the kids a few gifts this year. They each got 3 of their own and honestly, it didn't faze them the littlest bit.

They are playing the Wii right now, including DH who said he had no interest in it. :rotfl:

Hope you all have a wonderful day! :grouphug:

Good Morning and Merry Christmas to all!
Kids woke up at 6am and were downstairs peeking until they woke us up. Now I have 2 Clone Troopers running around my house in their helmets and using their lazer guns. I am loving every minute of this because it won't be like this forever. :lovestruc
It finally stopped snowing and its sunny. As I look out my bedroom window, I am admirering the silent majesty of a winter's morn. Its beautiful - when I'm not shoveling it.
Church was lovely. We sang traditional carols, I did a solo of 'Mary Did You Know', and then of course we sang 'O Holy Night' and 'Silent Night', by candlelight (actually little battery operated tea lights--safety first!)
Wow Whgrn! That's my favorite Christmas song. I didn't know you sang too. Is there nothing you can't do?:worship:

Goodevening everyone. I know that you all are getting things ready to put under the tree. My DH is already in bed (dreaming of sugerplumbs)

I see that J.C.Penney is having doorbusters at 5:30 am on Friday. Shopping anyone?

Is that what he's calling them...sugarplums???? :rotfl2:
I did see all the sales tomorrow. I got me a few gift certs as gifts so I may have to go shopping tomorrow. 70% off Christmas stuff is pretty good too. :woohoo:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Since we're 1hr behind you, I guess our kids got up at the same time.
Our kids didn't get a lot either. They're just as happy as ever.

The best part of today was the sharing of family gifts. Every year I take the kids to the Dollar STore and they shop for 1 gift for everyone in our family (including our dog). Then they come home to wrap and hide them for Christmas. After church we come home and now its time for "giving" as opposed to "receiving" It is so cute to see what they get for us. They're eyes just light up as we open the gifts.
My DH got a bag of M&Ms and a pedometer.
I got an angle statue and lip gloss.

These are my favorite gifts so far.

Have a blessed day everyone!!!!

We just got back from a Christmas party and one of the other guests came and told me that DS7 told them that he was going to leave a beer out for Santa so he would get drunk and pass out at our house and then he could finally see him. :lmao:

Hope he left more than 1 to make Santa pass out. :lmao:
Very cute!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!
Thanks racer for the PM, was going to check in to wish all a merry and saw the PM. Great name!!! Can't believe we are on the 4th round, though I didn't get to post much on the 3rd one:confused3. Well hope to catch up this one and everyone enjoy!

He'll probably play it more than they do!:rotfl2:

There are ALOT of things I can't do. For starters, I can't ride a bike!! I can't run, play the violin or clarinet (or anything else other than piano). I can't play sports. I can't kneel. I can't speak a foreign language. I can't roll pie crust or cookies. I can't do algebra. That's just off the top of my head--trust me, there's LOTS more!

What a sweet idea with the $1 gifts! I love it!

The kids were very happy with their presents, and so was I. The only issue we are having is dead iTunes cards. ALL the cards I bought at Target (from Santa AND from me) are not activated. Also the ones BFF bought at a diffferent Target. So guess where we'll be going tomorrow.... UGH.

Well, soups on the stove, the table is set, the folks are on their way, so I'd best get back to work.

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. Did everyone catch the Disney parade this morning? I was just in Disney earlier this month, but did not want to attend the parade taping. We have done it in the past and don't really care for it.

I hope Santa was good to everyone,

Kim

Happy Boxing Day Ladies:

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday...Santa was very good to everyone here. The kids love the Wii...had to reenforce the always wear the wrist strap rule when DS send the controller across the room. :sad2:

My mom was here overnight but DH & I were both happy to see her go last night...she was driving us a little batty...too much family time. MIL & step FIL were also here for dinner. DH can't eat turkey so we had Steak Oscar. DH had to dig out the BBQ.

Tomorrow is dinner at my sister's so I have to make trifle today...otherwise I plan to do nothing.

I just got a crock pot :cool1: I am super excited. DBF and I are getting an apartment in May, and are slowly collecting the things we need! YAY for after Christmas sales. Haha anyone else get excited over odd things?

Happy Boxing day to you too!!!!!

Glad your kids love the Wii. I want a Wii and a Wii fit, but in my area you can pretty much forget finding one these days. Maybe over the summer.

I was excited about my chenille slipper socks and my swan planter! We had a great Christmas day. Of course, the kids loved all their goodies, except for the fact that I forgot some batteries and DD will have to wait til Monday to get a fish to put in her new aquarium.

DH called his brother at the last minute to see if he might want to join us at the last minute for dove dinner and he caught him just before he was fixing to eat leftovers. We enjoyed his company very much and he loved the dove!
Our oldest DD, SIL and GS made over in the evening so we had a second wave of gift opening and enjoying the company of loved ones.

I am hoping to have a quiet restful day at home today. DH is off work so we will see if he messes up my plan!

 Maybe, just maybe I will get a chance to work on my delayed trip report! Here's hoping! Oh, gotta go look for a new siggie image too!

OOOH, I LOVE my crock pots. Yes, that's plural--I have 2! A big one and a small one. I use them both all the time. And yes, I get excited over weird things too. You'd be surprised at what excites me!:lmao:

If I was gonna have one piece of cardio equipment in my home, it would be an elliptical. I love that thing! Ah well, I'll just use the ones at the gym. Would be nice to have one here tho in case I can't get to the gym. Hmmmmm....

As far as where to start Pepper, here's what you need: http://www.sparkpeople.com It's a free website where you can track your food and fitness, learn all sorts of cool stuff, and they have great message boards for support. It's made a HUGE difference for me! You can follow their food plan or use your own. They focus on a healthy balance of carbs, fats and protein. Which, after all, really IS the best way to do it, since you can follow it for life. If you sign up, put me down as the person who referred you. WHGRN60 is my name there. And you will automatically be added as my "friend", and vice versa!

Today I feel like I have a food hangover. I didn't do too badly yesterday, but I just feel yucky. Like I can tell I had more sugar and fat than I usually do, so I'm sluggish, and have that odd feeling in my mouth. I also have NO desire to eat anything today! I haven't gotten to the gym yet (had to take DD to the eye doctor, and now my DBro is here fixing my DVD player, and BFF is coming so we can go to Target to activate the iTunes cards that the bimbo at the register didn't activate when I bought them.:headache: )

WooHoo!!! My brother got the DVD player fixed!!!:dance3: Now I can watch the DVDs of the series of shows from Scotland that my parents are passing on to me as they finish. It's called 'Monarch of the Glen'. Ahhhhh, Scottish accents and scenery! I'll be in heaven!!

Well, off to visit with DBro and BFF. Catch y'all later!

Happy Boxing Day to our Canadian friends!
I didn't bother getting on the internet yesterday. I figured you were having family time. :santa: Since our cruise was our present, we didn't have presents. I can't believe I missed the Disney parade. :sad2:
Still no moisture for us, it's supposed to get colder tonight. SciFi has the Highlander marathon going right now. I looove the highlander. :lovestruc

I'M HERE, I'M HERE!!!

Just checking in on the new thread... Wow. I just got back to posting, and we've got a new home. I think I missed basically a whole thread while I was busy "Mommy-ing."

Welcome DisneyLily and MSP!

Hi to everyone else. Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Holiday.

I'm back to work today. DH should be too, but BL (Baby Lighttech - my new little guy for the newbies) had a fever for his first Christmas :sad1: , so he's home w/ DH today. (I had to go to work, or I lost my holiday pay which we can't afford with all those Christmas bills! :scared1: ) He was doing o.k. this morning, just crabby. We think he might be getting his first chomper.

Ok, lunch is over... gotta run!

Poor Baby Lighttech!!! Hope it's just a new tooth coming in.

Hello Tkers!

I hope everyone had a good Holiday! Here at Castle Pikester we had a good one. Kids got some nice gifts. DS7 had been playing his Nintendo DS on and off since yesterday morning. DS11 has been making movies with his Flip Ultra camera.

DH bought me a docking station for my Ipod Nano. He has been playng with that on and off for the past two days. We have plans to head out to the stores to look at a new Plasma TV. DH has been drooling over them for months now and he's hoping he can find a good deal on the style and brand that he wants. I need to look for a new winter coat for DS11. The one he has now fit just fine before we went to Disney but now his wrists are hanging out of it and the first Tuesday he goes back to school they are starting their winter program. DS is signed up for skiing so he "NEEDS" the jacket.

Have a good day ladies!

Hi lighttech! I hope BL is feeling better. :flower3:

It is good to see that others are excited over Crock Pots, my DBF seems to think I am nuts
