Four day school week.

Eh. So we were talking about topics that students would be interested in Journalism.

I wanted to know what all of your opinions were on the topic?
Anybody right now have a four day school week?

Hate the idea?
Love it?

Personally I'd be exstatic if we switched to four days.
I'd definately go 2 more hours for an extra day off.
Although I'd rather get Wednesdays off instead of Friday's or Monday's.
I'd just like a break inbetween the week, but I highly doubt that would ever happen.

The only thing I'm worried about is not having enough time for clubs and finishing homework.

I would like it, I know there are some schools around here who get a day off during the week, but I think they just have less holidays off. ( fewer days at christmas, spring break, summer)
I would like to have fridays off though, for some reason friday has always been my favorite day, so it would be nice to have no school on that day.

I wouldn't do it. We get off at 3.24 as it is.
So if you add two hours onto our school day, it's either earlier or later.
And I ain't starting school at 6 am, and I ain't going home at 5.30.

It is a tough call, because we start school at 8 a.m. so if we added one hour before and started at 7 a.m. that would mean I would have to get up at 4:30 instead of 5:30. And then I wouldn't be getting home with adding 1 hour till 4 p.m., then homework and eating. I wouldn't have time for anything. I think I would stick to the 5 days a week.

I'm not sure if I would like the longer hours~ but I think it'd be nice to have a day off. I don't really have a say tho, since I'm homeschooled, and I just do school whenever I want to, ya know? LOL Right now, since we started school early, we usually only do 3-4 days a week anyway...lol

IDK...if we had a break basketball practices would probably be much longer that day...and I don't think I could stand doing that running

I dont like how uneven everything is.

I wish there was such a thing as 8 day week, because..then you could devide it evenly.

I personally think its dumb to have a 4 day SCHOOL week, because what about their parents? I mean, i think if anything, you should switch it to "4 day work week" first, then to school, because then everyone will be scurrying around trying to find a babysitter, when in reality, if they switch it to a school week, they should switch it to work at the same time.


I think its beautiful.

I'd love a 4 day week. I hate Wednesday for some odd reason so if we could eliminate Wednesdays of school that'd be awesome! lol

No thanks. having less school days would result in less time on vacation. Plus, I don't want a longer day. that'a just icky, and no one in my school, students and teachers included, would go for it.

We start at 8 and end at 3 now.
So we'd get out at 5.

They have a 4 day work week in a couple places around here already.

I think most of the kids at school would go for it except the athletes because of sports and stuff.

I don't know if I'd like a 4 day week. They just changed our schedules this year from 8 periods to 7, but seniors don't have a 7th period. So I get to leave at 1:45. That's good enough for me. :]

I'm unsure about it I would dislike the longers days but I would like the day off. I know the reason some school are doing it is to save money on gas.
