I just found a website, http://www.minimus.biz/default.aspx that is an internet store that sells only travel size stuff. I have not ordered anything from them, but their FAQs are good. They have laundry detergents, food, (I saw single serve Crystal Light packets), salad dressings, snacks, it goes on and on. If someone uses the site, post a review! :flower:

You can get travel size crystal light at Target it is called crystal light to go..

Walmart carries the Crystal Light on the go packets too and they have their own brand as well ~ Walmart's brand was $1.89 for 10 packets. Thought it would be a nice change of pace from regular water all the time and simple to just open and pour in your bottled water.

If any of you have Longs Drug store in your area, they always have the trial size Tide. It's the only place I've been able to find them lately.

Check your Dollar stores. I have one near me carries travel size boxes of Tide or Gain and travel size packets of Downy softener. The are 3 for $1.

I am planning on buying a box of powdered detergent, and dividing it up in sandwich baggies! :mickeybar :hourglass

Thanks for the link! I never could find trial size detergent last year.

Last time I was at Big Lots they had mini size (about 2-4 loads) bottles of liquid detergent (Gain??) for $1 each. ................P

Target carries travel size Tide - It's not with the detergent, it is in the travel size item aisle - You know, where the shampoo and stuff is -

Very interesting site. Has anyone ever seen "Bounty on the go" packages at a Target or super market? They are a package of 22 paper towels that dispense one at a time. Sound perfect for the car-they won't get all dirty or unroll.

My grocery store sells Crystal Light on the go packages for $2.99 (at the same chain my friend can get them in her town for $2.50) for a pack of 10 so that's considerably cheaper than the 39 cents at that site. But that site does offer lots of very interesting products.

I did the zip lock bag per load of powdered detergent on my last trip and that worked out fine-I did enough for 4 loads and put those 4 sandwich bags into a quart size zip lock along with 4 dryer sheets. I think it took up a lot less space than those boxes.

is called Tide To Go! It cost $.99 and its enough for 3 loads. I took 2 with me to Disney, along 2 rolls of quarters, couple of fabric softener sheets, stain stick, mesh laundry bag in a one-gallon plastic bag. It was really handy to have everything I needed.

Toss my clothes in and wash/dry while my daughter was still sleeping. Packed our bags and hit the Parks for our final day. Flight didn't leave until 5 p.m. didn't want security to open my bags and find dirty clothes. Spend 2 early morning hours ---- worth it. Not a ton of laundry to do when I get home.

Oh yes-forgot about the quarters...and I also brought a pop-up hamper for the room but couldn't get to pop-down the right way so it was a bit bigger for the trip home....

Big Lots has the travel size tide Liquid detergent (5 load size) for 99 cents. I picked up a few last night.

I think they still make these, i got hooked on Purex detergent Tabs, they are individually wrapped tablets (actually 2 ea) that work great. Use one tablet for a small load, 2 for a larger or more soiled load. If memory serves they were like around $3.00 for 24 tablets.

I have also found Chlorine Tabs, but i don't have the box here to remember who makes those. They travel great. :wave2:

I second the Purex Tabs. Our family ussually prefers Tide, but when I wasn't able to find the travel size boxes anymore I grabbed the Purex Tabs. We've used them for 2 trips now (including a 7 day cruise) and I still have some left. I was concerned with putting luandry soap in ziplocks as to what would happen if they split open or something.....the Purex tabs are wrapped 2 to a pack and I just toss a few packs in a ziplock bag. Make another bag for my dryer sheets.......figure I can get by w/o using liquid softener once a year no big deal!

Thanks for the info about the $.99 travel size liquid Tide at Target! It was in the travel-size aisle (health & beauty section) rather than where you'd normally look for detergent. It's good for 4 medium loads or 3 large loads. I use the powder and will take some of that, but my MIL prefers liquid and will be coming with us, so I picked up some for her.

A few years ago a DISer posted a site that sold detergent sheets (like dryer sheets) only you put them into the washer...and then when the soap was gone at the end of the cycle, you tossed them into the dryer too. I bought a huge box of these and have ONLY ever used them for vacations. I have them stored in a zip lock baggie - tossed the packaging a long time ago. All I can remember is that the name started with an X. I tried to do a search, but can't find anything.
