Just found this on the US Community Board. I had wondered why some peoples tags were coloured when they did not seem funny/witty enough to be gifts from the Tag Fairy. Think I might request to have mine coloured, then I can always pretend it is from the Tag Fairy!

I've seen many references to the tag fairy. Could someone explain who she is, what she does and when she does it please!

Joanne - the tag fairy is the person who changes the little tag under your user name - which in your case currently says Mouseketeer - into something completely different, and colours it in pretty colours too!!! It happens totally at random - usually because something you've said catches the tag fairy's eye.

Elaine - thanks for pointing out that thread. VERY exciting to see a post by the REAL tag fairy!!

Problem is - once you get over the great excitement of receiving a tag, you start waiting and hoping for the next one!!! You could never have too many tags!!!!

Becky, I am still waiting and hoping for my first one!!!

Reid, I agree, it is far better to be sensible and wait in the hope that I will have a wonderful surprise one day! After all I am always telling my children "those who ask don't get!!!" and I really should set them a good example!

I did ask on the Tech board if having the standard tag coloured would in any way affect it if they were to introduce new titles in the future but no one has replied so I think I will just forget about this.....I do not want to upset the Tag Fairy, if I do I may never ever get a visit.
