We are doing invites from Cards and Pockets. Our colors are red, white and black. I am using the Candy Apple pocket with a black mat and pearl white for the invite. I was planning on wrapping black see-through ribbon around the pocket and putting a square of black with the pearl over it with a picture of Mickey and Minnie where the fold comes together. When I showed my DF a mock up he said it looked like a Santa Boot. Guess this is not a good thing.
I was in the Disney Store today and they had ribbon with the Christmas stuff (50% off). There are two different type of ribbon sold as a set. One of the sets is solid gold and the other ribbon is a red on red print of different shapes of Mickey Mouse. I bought all that they had (11 sets). I tried it on my invites when I got home and it is just perfect. I'm going to head to another Disney store tomorrow to try to get more. I measured it out tonight and I probably need about 6 rolls but what ever else I can get I can use on my newsletters, welcome letters, welcome bags or gifts.
If anyone is using red for their colors this is great ribbon.
